Does anyone know if you have to sign up for the Ultra Violet copy to get the preview. Seems very misleading...
I think that's the only way to see it, by using your Ultraviolet code. Since I can never make the damn thing to work, I haven't bothered on checking. but it's definitely not on the discs.

Speaking of which last time I went to Dollar Tree they had nothing but slim DVDs and I didn't see any 4 for $1 bins people talk about. On a previous occasion I was told at BB they didn't accept DVDs in slim cases, but considering how many people are trading those in from Dollar Tree that must've been one of those YMMV that particular employee making up his/her own rules things.
You making up stuff again Manzana? I've never seen anyone mention this before, all the $0.25 dvd's have been mixed in with the regular titles and a lot of the time even have a label on them saying they are a $1 as well but just ring up at $0.25 So is this a matter like other people where you just then did not bother taking them up to the register to see their price? Guessing justifying in your mind that even if they rang up a $0.25 that they would say the price is not right and make it a $1 on you any ways Just imagining that is what would happen with the "luck" you seem to have at retail stores. Sorry Manzana, but sometimes I just can't resist. I hope you realize it's all in fun buddy

Sounds like a bunch of misleading horseshit to me.

Finally took advantage of this program yesterday and couldn't be happier. Had no problem picking out 5 DVDs I no longer need and cashed them in for coupons. Picked up M:I Ghost Protocol, Altered States and Insomnia for $4.99 each. I'll probably get Firefly later this week, since it'll be $14.99 after coupon.

Just a question to everyone who's already partaken in this promo, but do you all get actual coupons? Every time I've done this (even in past promos), I have never gotten a coupon. The people just put a sticker on the DVD's, then I pickup my blu's then go to customer service and they do it all. I've never seen a coupon before.

Firefly Complete Series is also $19.99 this week, making it $14.99 after coupon

EDIT: Just noticed Randy mentioned it above as well

It's random where I go. Sometimes I get a coupon for each trade in and other times one coupon stapled to the receipt but always at least one coupon or A copy of one.

BestBuy.com now shows Kung Fu Panda 3D as $30, it it no longer $20? Part 2 still shows as $20, but I already have that one.

This BB Exclusive one is still $19.99 and available for store pickup. Store should match or have the same price. Buy it in store and save $5 with U&S.

So my receipt shows 4 trade ins, if they just scan the coupon and don't mark the receipt at all, can't I just use it again 4 times until they mark it? How else do they know I've used it?

Also, the coupon says expire 7/21/12. I guess they have new coupons each week?

Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save, $5 Off Blu-ray titles, Jul 15 - Aug 11, 2012

Sometimes they don't require a receipt. During the last sale, they didn't have a certain title I wanted so I went to another store, and for fun I just brought in the coupon- since they hadn't been marking them off. That's all they needed. There was one particular store I went to (I did multiple trade-ins over the course of the sale) that the cashier scanned the coupon and never actually took the coupons from me. So I was able to get more $5 Blu-rays than DVDs I traded in. You definitely need the coupons but probably not the receipt. Unless your trying to get multiple titles from one coupon. Then you may need the itemized receipt, and explain to them that the previous cashier only gave you one coupon but the receipt proves multiple trade-ins. I found Best Buy tends to be very flexible on this sale, and no two stores do it exactly the same.

I'm off to BB in 30 min. I really hope to get both Batman Steelbooks and Blade II. I have not decided on the other 2 BD's yet.

What are the best bang for the buck?

IMO, the Human Planet set for $14.99. And the 3D's if you're into them. Lots of good stuff right now. Don't think you need to worry about the Batman steekbooks, every location I've been to seems to have a plethora of them. However, you may have some trouble finding Blade II

Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save, $5 Off Blu-ray titles, Jul 15 - Aug 11, 2012

I posted this in the Barnes and Noble Criterion sale thread but I'll repost here. Ok, so this is a YMMV... but I was able to get a Best Buy to price match Barnes and Noble for the $19.99 Criterion's and apply the trade and save coupon. The system will not allow a coupon to be applied to a price match, so it requires a manager override and they have to manually set the price at $14.99. I asked a cashier before purchasing if this was possible to do and he said if the system didn't take it, they could make it work. So if you want to try this I suggest you be extra polite and ask a CS rep or cashier before attempting this. On this haul I got:

Robocop____________4.99
The Great Dictator ____14.99
The Lady Vanishes_____14.99

All via trade and save. Good luck.

I checked for availability for the store I'm going to and it says available. So I'm hoping.

This is the first time I do this so I can take dvd? Does it have to be a feature film? Do cartoons count?

Any retail bought DVD with a UPC code will work. It could be a workout video or whatever. Some people have even had success with foreign DVDs too.
