Yeah, BatB went back "into the Vault" on April 30, so whatever stock that remains in the sales channel is all that's left. If it's not on the shelves, it's unlikely to show up in the store again.

Bought Haywire and Young Adult today. Was happy they didn't care that I threw out the receipt because I didn't think I needed it.

I'm not trying to derail the thread, but I thought this was interesting, considering:

I got Men in Black II and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol yesterday. They didn't ask for a receipt, so my worries were unfounded (that or I just had a lax cashier).

I was able to get price adjustments on all of the $10.99 titles I had bought, which are now $9.99:
Final Destination 2
Final Destination 3
Demolition Man
Life as We Know It
Space Jam

I had 3 coupons left over from my trade-ins last week. Went yesterday to go grab MiB, MiB 2, and Clueless. I noticed when I got home that on my receipt, the two $14.99 MiB movies rang up properly, example:

BD - Men in Black 9.99
5190632 CPN
Upgrade & Save DVD/Blu-Ray 0.00

but the coupon for $11.99 Clueless rang up differently and, well, did nothing:

BD - Clueless 11.99
Reg $14.99 3.00 Sale Discount
2404112 CPN
$5 Off Any Participating BD 0.00

I have no idea why the coupon for Clueless rang up under a different SKU and didn't actually take $5 off. All 3 movies were on sale, so that shouldn't have made a difference.

If I didn't have it already I would have grabbed it at $4.99 with a trade in DVD.
I assume the only difference between the 2 Blues Brothers BDs is the packaging, correct? I'd be shocked and saddened to find out that they already double-dipped on it with more extras since I bought mine (the not 100th Anniversary Edition) on release day (I think it was $9.99 then w/o coupon).

When I went through the $9.99 BD titles I might want on their web site, I came up with maybe a dozen titles... 3/4ths of which would be DVD -> BD upgrades which are debatable even at $5 on most movies. A few I wanted more than others (such as The Descent and Road to Perdition) were permanently OOS at all BBs in my area. I guess it's not a big deal since Amazon is only $9.99 for those, so I hope/expect they'll get near $5-$6 someday.

Though I have plenty of movies to trade in, with how little I wanted and how little of those they carry in stock (unless I bought them online, returned them, and rebought them which is a lot of hassle), I only did the U&S 3 times. BB's poor store inventory is the primary reason.

Holding them side-by-side, it appears they are identical. But from the reviews on Amazon, it would seem that there are some extra extras. I haven't watched the disc yet, so I don't know for sure. The 100th Anniversary edition does have a DVD and digital copy, and the previous edition does not.

My local store finally restocked, so I got Conan the Barbarian, Mission Impossible Trilogy box set, and Clueless. I still have one coupon left for next week and am hoping there will be at least one new price drop on a wanted title.

From what I can tell it appears the extras are the same. The only differences is the packaging, and the newer 100th Anniversary edition includes a DVD and a digital copy.

Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save, $5 Off Blu-ray titles, Apr 22 - May 12, 2012

Well I grabbed the following on 2 separate trips

Avatar Extended - didn't have it and we are showing it a movie party this w/e so with upgrade coupon and a RZ cert it was time
Scooby-Doo 1 & 2 combo
Space Jam - love this one and had no idea it was on BR
Gump
MI4
Psycho
Big
To Catch a Thief
MIB 2 with movie cash - shocked I didn't already own this one since we like the films
Ferris Bueller
Blues Brothers
and some other title my feeble mind can't recall right now

Spent about $100 for 12 titles. Not as good as the rest of you but Avatar wasn't cheap so that skewed my #s a little.

I have 4 coupons left with about 10 more titles to trade-in once I print out some covers for the discs.

Hoping to nab

Conan Barbarian
Conan Destroyer
Long Kiss Goodnight
Mask of Zorro
Legend of Zorro
Collateral
Haywire

Then on Sun

House S7
Chuck S5 (Tuesday for this one)
Apollo 13
Dances with Wolves
WM 28 (maybe)

There are several $7.99 titles I would like to get as well but wish they were actually $9.99 so I could use the coupon and get them for $5. Oh well maybe next time.

Still there have been some nice deals here and the trade-in process has been a piece of cake so far. Checking out ... well that's another story (no coupon issues just lack of help in the store so you have to wait forever).

Picked up Mortal Kombat: Legacy for $9.99 and Dante's Peak for $4.99. Unless they update their $9.99 titles soon I think I'm done until next round.

Per the BB website, no BB store within 50 miles of me is carrying Space Jam.

Don't trust it.

Most of the titles I bought were not in stock at the store I went to according to online yet there they were on shelf.

Now 3 titles that were supposedly in stock, were not.

Go figure.

I got the Big Lebowski, the Departed and Haywire for 30$ total. They didn't have anything that I went in for other than Haywire.

Waited in a loooooooong line at customer service for almost 20 minutes because some babe was trying to explain why her exercise ball wouldn't work.

Traded in four more of those individual releases of I SPY that I paid $12 each for at Borders many years ago, never watched them, never even opened them, wound up getting the COMPLETE SERIES for $30, which left the ones I couldn't resell to gather dust. They wouldn't even go at DVD Swap. Oh well, such are the sad stories of everyone in this hobby, I'm sure.

Picked up:

TO CATCH A THIEF
CONAN THE BARBARIAN
EXCALIBUR
COOL HAND LUKE

And also picked up the original Italian INGLORIOUS BASTARDS for $7.99, no coupon.

Try calling a store, and give them the SKU as listed on the website. They should be able to tell you exact stock, as well as check stock for other local stores too, on request.

Picked up The Big Lebowski, Anchorman: The Rich Mahogany Edition (the store I went to tonight still had a couple of copies), and Fast Five tonight.

I have one coupon left. Gotta find something good.

Kind of the opposite; It was a short, pudgy African-American dude. I will make sure to look out for "Chet", though. Sounds like a good laugh!

Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save, $5 Off Blu-ray titles, Apr 22 - May 12, 2012

With the $5 coupon bought:

Bounce - $4.99
Reindeer Games - $2.99
Crazy Stupid Love - $4.99
The Terrorists - $6.99

The guy at the register changed the price of Reindeer Games from $7.99 to $9.99 in order to take off the coupon. When I left I looked at the receipt and saw that the price was lowered back to $7.99 and then they took the coupon off.

If anyone is planing to buy My Week With Marilyn, there is a $4.00 coupon for it in The Descendants. Right now, BB's price is $5 higher than other stores. Save your upgrade coupon.
