Amazon doesn't do this. They ship on a first come, first serve basis. FV just randomly decided to make me wait. They could have told me (and everyone else) it would be the Amray version before it shipped.

Never again from FamilyVideo. Never.
You're wrong on the Amazon doesn't do this comment, they did it to me.

I ordered my copy back in November on the day they had it at $19.99, then had two friends order after I did (1 a few weeks, 1 over a month). Both had their copies in hand before mine even entered shipping soon status. We all chose the same shipping method and we all live very close to one another.

It wasn't until a few days after the 2nd friend received theirs when I contacted amazon customer support to complain/inquire about the issue, that I was able to get mine to ship. Amazon upped my shipping to next day, which was nice of them, but that still doesn't eliminate the fact that they do not ship on a first come first serve basis as they should.

I got the non-book version. I'm happy with it.

I did, too. I am not. I will spend the extra $12 for the digibook version from amazon and return the regular blue amaray case version.

I got the keepcase. Not happy with it, so I ordered off Amazon today. I own so many versions of this film that I was more interested in the packaging than the actual discs.

I ordered a digibook. If I don't receive one, I'll return it. I placed my order with Amazon just in case.

Anchorbay did - when they mentioned only 5000 were made with the digibook limited edition first press of the complete collection Battle Royale

Mentioning things without providing a link to the source is fun!

I had no idea this was even supposed to be in the book format, so when my pre-order arrived I was pleasantly surprised.

And of course, come to find out this isn't really a complete collection, as there is a 155mins version of BRII, which adds 30mins of footage. Oh wait. AB will announced another 5000 digibook pressing next year WITH THE REVENGE CUT OF BRII. lol

I received my amazon order today. It's still the blue case version. I'm returning it. An amazon CSR said that he would replace it with the digibook version. If that turns out to be the case, I'll be happy.
