Just an FYI but, at least according to the back covers, the only thing not on the remastered Blu-ray disc is the The Poughkeepsie Shuffle documentary.

Though "Shuffle" is on the old DVD, if you still have that. I do, so I'll hold on to it for that, since it doesn't have much trade-in value..

I considered waiting until this one dropped further in price, but I decided to pull the trigger. I love this movie too much and thought I would never have the chance to buy a corrected version on Blu-ray. $15 is a fair price to pay.

The sequel, FRENCH CONNECTION II Blu currently $7.99 at J&R Music. Free shipping if you sign up for e mails or spend over $25. Cheapest I've ever seen this title.

I disagree. It's not a great sequel and maybe not even a great film, but it has its merits and an incredible performance by Hackman. It was an interesting idea that only partially works, but when it does, it's very good. It's best to watch a couple of nights after watching the original, not back to back.

I'll agree that the sequel features a really good Hackman performance, but otherwise, it just didn't work for me.

Resurrecting this thread to ask you guys if the 2012 Signature Series edition is still a Best Buy exclusive? Amazon is listing what according to the description is the new edition here, though suspiciously the listing features the old cover art.

No longer a Best Buy exclusive. Got my copy from a Fox Connect sale. I would recommend waiting and picking it up there next time they have a similar 50% off sale ($6.50).

Virtually no retail exclusive remains exclusive longer than three months. Unless the retailer actually footed the cost of the entire release, which is super rare.

I got it from BB, but the link you posted is definitely the old version with the jacked up colors. Here's the link to the remastered version, but it looks like Amazon doesn't sell it, only via 3rd party.
