Game of Thrones(plus keychain) for $34.99 at Best Buy
You can choose between the two exclusive Best Buy covers and get a free keychain for $34.99. The regular cover is also $34.99 but does not come with the free keychain.

Amazon has just matched the $34.99 price sans the keychain and exclusive packaging-

They put a $30 price on that keychain???
I got the keychain when I pre-ordered in-store last month. Glad to see the $35 price. I wasn't sure I would get it, but now I think I will...

I'd rather get it on release day from Amazon than get it from Best Buy with a keychain. I'd probably STILL be waiting for my Boardwalk Empire set had I not cancelled by Best Buy order (a week after release, no less!).

I preordered it when it showed up in my Gold Box. The new price isn't showing on the order yet, but assuming it is and the $2.25 Gold Box discount still applies, I think that's a pretty great deal (I still remember when those Soprano season sets were $100 each on DVD). I'd like a keyring, but not enough to pay the difference + tax.

I would have bought it at Best Buy but their site says that they can't ship the keychain and the nearest store that has them is a 45 minute drive away. I'll go with Amazon instead.

Just going to pick it up when it comes out, since this likely the price in store. GOing for that awesome Targaryen edition.

Meh. I'd rather just save on tax by going the Amazon route. What the hell would I ever want a keychain for? People really like these little silly extras that will sit around in a drawer for ever more?

I personally like the Targaryen Edition.

There are benefits to buying from Amazon, but my experience with the Boardwalk Empire set at Best Buy was awesome. Using the trade-in deal, I was able to get the Boardwalk Empire set for $29.99, which included an exclusive disc PLUS I got the Game of Thrones BD sampler ... so I got it for $5 cheaper than Amazon with more extras than Amazon was offering.

I prefer the Stark Direwolf cover over standard and Targaryen. Looks like I need to pick up the "$30" keychain at a store 30 min away--hope it's worth it. At least the Blu-ray set itself was available for pickup at my local store.

I'll probably sell the keychain, making my overall cost $0.

Not a huge deal really but it seems stupid that Best Buy won't ship the keychain. I don't have a store in my area and am ordering the Stark cover since I like the looks of it.

Re: Game of Thrones(plus keychain) for $34.99 at Best Buy
For some of us, it's not about price, it's about having the set on release day. Now that Amazon price matches most of Best Buy's "deals", I hardly every order from them...the exception is for some of their "exclusive" windows on Blu-ray releases (like Planes, Trains, & Automobiles).
Kidding aside ... I have never had a problem picking items up on release day from Best Buy, even when I have not pre-ordered. Don't get me wrong, I love Amazon, but I don't consider them as price competitive as they once were, especially on release date pricing. They will typically match the best release date deal from another retailer, but rarely do they offer the best deal on their own.

Sorry ... I thought I was posting in the Bargains forum.
