The Conversation $7.99

Was just thinking about this one yesterday; I don't believe I've seen it cheaper. I'm jumping on it today.

EDIT: Cold Mountain and Shakespeare in Love also $7.99 on the web site. For those not able to locate them during the upgrade and save, this beats amazon's prices by two bucks.

DOUBLE EDIT: Just submitted $7.99 on all three to amazon. Hoping they match as I'd rather buy from them (and I have Shakespeare on pre-order).

Thanks for the heads up. Ordered with a $5 RZ cert. for $5.33 shipped. None of the stores in my area are showing as having it in stock, so free shipping sealed the deal.

Great idea for a thread on the whole, but for me the online deals especially. There are online discounts at BB that go MIA and more and more titles are becoming online only, so this thread is welcome. Thanks B2!

Cool, thanks for mentioning this! I reported this to Amazon, hoping they'll PM... I did notice that Amazon had Red State for $13.99 earlier today. I missed it, but I saw the note that the price had changed from 13.99 to 19.99. I'll probably get it at BB for $11.99 if Amazon doesn't match it by the end of the week...

picked up super and stake land for 10$ saw red state on sale but no where to be found..had them look them up and they said they were in stock they just couldnt find any. not sure if it was advertised or posted but

close encounters was also 11.99

Just ordered 10 titles, most for in-store pickup. Brothers was the only one that was not available for in-store pickup.

I also found 2 or 3 other titles that I need to pricematch (5 in total). Time to track down all my receipts.

Wow, when did Adventureland hit that kind of price. I've been wanting that since it came out but it rarely ever went on sale so I just stopped trying to even look for it.

I'm in a similar situation. I'm going to try and do the return and rebuy option in store as The Conversation is back in stock at the local Best Buy.

Also for 3 of the $5.99 titles (Shakespeare in Love, Serendipity, She's All That) there is a $2 off coupon from coupons.com that bumps the price down to $3.99 + tax.

Pretty sure that it has to do with the fact that Disney isn't the distributor anymore. Pretty much all of the Miramax stuff has dropped like a stone since Lions Gate took over.

Stopped by Best Buy during lunch and they had tags for every $5.99 and $7.99 title listed online. Of course several were already out of stock. I picked up:

I was able to get a price adjustment on a BB.com order I placed 9 days ago for Red State. I called over the phone, and they credited me $4. I didn't need to return it and repurchase it. Granted, I didn't get the tax back for some reason, but I won't cry over 22 cents.

Then on lunch I got:
Serendipity $3.99 (with $2 coupon)
Shakespeare In Love $3.99 (with $2 coupon)
She's All That $3.99 (with $2 coupon)
Trainspotting $5.99
used a $10 RZ cert, and a GC, so paid nothing out of pocket. :)

They still had copies of everything left at the Men. Falls store.

I had to drive across town to get a copy of Serendipity, but for $3.99 (after coupon) I'm not complaining.

Still thinking about Red State, the reviews haven't won me over.

I didn't watch it yet, but Kevin Smith showed a long clip (8 minutes or so) at SDCC, and it looked AWESOME!!! I bought it at the $11.99 price (which I have now adjusted) so to me, $7.99 is a no brainer for a Kevin Smith fan (even though this is not a typical Kevin Smith movie, but his commentary track surely will be typical.) But I can't say for sure that the movie is any good. I should state that I really enjoyed Jersey Girl as well, which has lots of haters.

I just got a Chevy Chase combo with Funny Farm and Spies Like Us. It was in a $7.99 dump bin but rang up at $4.99. Not sure if that's been listed/mentioned anywhere. If you're a fan of stupid 80's comedies you could do a lot worse.

Any issue using manufacturer's coupons and RZ cert at the same time? Do you know if it matters what order they scan them in?

I'd recommend giving the mfg. coupon first. Both are considered like cash. If your total is $10 and you give a $10 RZ cert first, then your balance would be $0 and I don't think the mfg. coupon would work. If it's $7 - $5 RZ cert - $2 mfg. coupon it should be fine in either order, but the mfg. coupon first is safest.
