Whew! Dodged the bullet on that one... I didn't see 3 I either wanted to add or purchase as upgrades. It's a pretty short list which helped!

I dropped by Best Buy yesterday (don't know if it's been mentioned), but I saw The Sopranos: complete series for $89.99. Really tempted. What held me back was that I probably wouldn't be able to touch it for a long time.

Anyone order "American Sniper" online early Thanksgiving Day morning and instead of receiving the Blu-Ray/DVD one - they instead received the Blu-Ray only one?
Checked my order and it has down that I was supposed to receive the Blu-Ray/DVD one. Still a good deal - Blu-Ray for $5.99 - but that wasn't what I ordered.
At least I got the Blu-Ray - could have sent me the DVD only one.
My Best Buy store isn't that far away so I could drive there to exchange. I'll make sure I'm going there for another reason though - buy more DVDs/Blu-Rays etc.

That is WB's standard practice with combo packs. The DVDs are removed after the first run.

Did you actually open it? My copy only mentions that it has a DVD and digital copy on the slipcover. The inside cover doesn't mention it's a combo pack.

Yeah I was expecting a slipcover that saids DVD/Blu-Ray on it so seeing no slipcover and the Blu-Ray only case made me suspect I was only getting the Blu-Ray.
I did open it and both the DVD and Blu-Ray were inside. So all good news. Although if the Blu-Ray was only included - it would have been ok. Thanks for the reply.

Received the non 3D steelbook version of Ant-Man in the mail today from BB. Shipped on the 4th & arrived today on the 7th.

Minions should be here tomorrow.

Non-3D steelbook? Does that exist? I thought the only steelbook exclusive of Ant-Man included the 3D disc.

I'm not seeing 50% (though I've only viewed about 25%). Wish BB had a sort by discount % option.

Quite a few of the older blu-rays ("Repo Man", "Robinson Crusoe On Mars", for example) are higher than 50%, unless their MSRPs have gone up.

Too bad the Star Wars Steelbooks (Blu-Ray) weren't on sale this week - like $9.99 each - in honor of the new Star Wars movie coming out on Friday.
Edit - Well they are on sale - a whole whopping $1.00 off! the regular price of $17.99 each.

Rocky Heavyweight Collection (Blu-Ray) is on sale for $14.99.
Back To The Future Trilogy (Blu-Ray) is on sale for $22.99.
Robocop Trilogy (Blu-Ray) is on sale for $14.99.
Looks like all the Bond Movies (Blu-Ray) are on sale for $7.99 each.
Some of the Bond movies Steelbooks (Blu-Ray) are on sale for 9.99 each.
(Too bad the Expendables Steelbooks (Blu-Ray) arn't that price - not paying $17.99 each.)

Wouldn't be surprised if they started blowing those steelbooks out at bargain prices before long. All of the BBs I've been to have piles of them sitting on the shelves, apparently untouched.

Love to see the looks of the genius marketing folks who came up with such crappy artwork as they look at the numbers of their idiot designed steelbooks being some of the lowest selling releases of steelbooks ever, even when this is Star Wars.

Good artwork sells, people.

Those who buy steelbooks want something nice, unique, and even collectible.

Something the Star Wars steelbook creators completely overlooked, hoping to make a quick dollar.
