Re: Best Buy / bestbuy.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Heads up! Just received one of those emails with a subject of: Reveal Your Mystery Reward Now. It could be worth up to $5,000.

However, when I click on the e-mail in the app it tries to pull up the certificate to show me what it's worth, I get a message saying unable to do so and encourages me to log in to my account to check it. And I don't see it there.

I fully expect it to be for $5 if they resolve the technical issue. Or maybe it was a mistake. Either way, hope they fix it by tomorrow. I'm not real close to a Best Buy store, but will pass one tomorrow while out of town. Of course, the dwindling media displays may make it difficult to find something, but I'll do my best to give it a shot.

Anyone else receive something?

Checked just now and the certificate shows up in my e-mail. $5, as expected.

As soon as I posted that comment I had that same thought.

If you’re at least a semi-regular customer, they probably don’t think they need to entice you with a certificate. I’ve cut way back on my Best Buy purchases since they killed the Elite/Elite Plus programs, but I guess I still shop there enough to not warrant a cert either.

I sometimes wonder if it is because I already shop there at some threshold to not necessitate a bonus certificate or if my ISP blocks the incoming email for some reason. The confirmation though is if a certificate shows up without an email. Then it would be obvious it was "lost in the mail".

I didn't get one. Guess I spent to much at BB this past year.

Re: Best Buy / bestbuy.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I've not made a purchase from BB in at least a year (likely longer) and got a $5 cert. And I'm very unlikely to use it - I can usually get the same price elsewhere and they closed the local store after it was damaged by a tornado a couple of years ago. I used to use those certs on stuff I could pick up locally and now have zero incentive to bother with them.

The least they can do for spamming my inbox multiple times a day is to issue me a cert...

I didn't even get an email. Oh well, my last $5 RZ certificate almost expired and I spent it on something I didn't really need. It's a struggle to spend them anymore with such a dwindling media selection.

I hear Ya. I get about 3 e-mails a day from BB, but I've never gotten one of these certificates people speak of.

I got a $5 certificate. I ordered an item for pick-up. A few hours later my order was cancelled, -turns out they didn't have a copy in that store, after all. My $5 disappeared with the order.

This could be the start for the plot of Unhinged 2...

Sounds like they're taking lessons from Amazon on how to irritate customers.

There was another $5 bonus certificate tucked in today's "Save on great tech today" email. They love to hide these in the emails to make sure you open them.

I totally missed it, thanks for the heads up. It's good until 2/26.

Ad Astra and Heat 4Ks are $7.99 each. Had I known these prices, would have used the $5 GC on one of these. Instead ended up getting 'Earth Girls Are Easy' in store yesterday

Legion of Super-Heroes 4K is also on sale for $17.99, not to mention other animated DC films on UHD.
