Check your emails, Best Buy sent out an email with a bonus certificate to at least some people. The subject is "W.O.W. Take advantage of our OFFERS...", I got it on March 14. You have to scroll down a little until you see this

Check your Best Buy account for certificates. I got no email with that subject line and I scoured the ones I received and saw no mention of a certificate. Yet in my account I found a $10 cert expiring 4/2.

My email had a cert for $10. It was in a tiny, dark blue banner that I missed even when expressly looking for it, so I’m glad I didn’t take “no” for an answer!

Yeah, I still got nothing. Congrats to those of you who scored though.

Mine had $5 - though it's highly unlikely I'll use it as BB rarely has deals good enough for me to bother with an order.

Don't believe I got that email. Also checked my account and didn't have any bonus certificates.

Thx! I discovered I did get the email with the cert, but some security on my pc (Or a best buy bug) is stopping it from posting to my BB account. Oh well, it's only $5......

I missed it the first time they sent as I had been deleting the emails without looking at them. Thanks to this thread I started paying attention and the $5 cert activation email came again yesterday.

I think the 5 dollar cert thing is actually already in your account. The last few emails I've gotten have had it (only activated once)so they are trying to make sure you don't miss it.

After I activated the last one, it first said activated, then I went to my account & it wasn't there.

With them dumping media aren't these $5-10 certificates becoming pretty worthless? I guess I could drive across town for a free bag of Combos and a 20oz soda.

The in-store pickup selection was pretty poor, which wouldn't be a problem but for Best Buy's rather high $35 minimum order size for free shipping, lack of ship to store for media, and their absolutely absurd $1,500 in purchases every year required to qualify for free shipping. Who the heck is buying new appliances and OLED panels every year? That's pretty much the only way to qualify for Best Buy Elite. I did manage to score Almost Famous 4k for $8.99, which was a basically a Black Friday deal for a disc released just last month, so that was good.

Same with the 10% back in rewards on a single purchase that came yesterday. Click to activate.

Re: Best Buy / bestbuy.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray
It doesn't matter to me since I haven't gotten one of these Free Certs in years,
There seem to be plenty of other things to buy at BBY besides Movies and multi- thousand dollar items whether the tiny fraction of people on the online movie forums believe it or not. BBY record profits
for several years seems to indicate they're selling plenty of stuff. Even in the 2000's I doubt Movie sales made up more than a small fraction of their direct and indirect (while I;m here I;ll pick up this too) either sales or profits
and these days worrying about the 0.001% of gross sales just seems unrealistic. If they dropped all Movie sale online and in-store tomorrow I doubt they'd be able to measure it on the end of year financials since it probably
gets erased in the rounding procedures.
$35 isn't that hard to meet FS esp since you can just add a Gift Card to the order if needed.
1500/3500 yearly isn't hard since I've had a BBY Visa for years and can meet those thresholds without a problem just paying my Car/House Insurance - plus the normal RZ points, plus the extra RZ $$ they seem to offer several
times per year. It's by far the best CC rewards program I've ever been a part of
I get far more use out of that the my 130 yearly Prime Fee that I really need to dump someday

Well, I did not use the $10 towards an iPad as I posted above. Bought the iPad at an Apple store.
So I still have it and it expires in 6 days. The physical media section at my local BB is pretty abysmal. I might lean towards using it for something more practical like printer ink or something.

Don't forget, if you got one of these, it expires today
