I grabbed one for pickup. I already have the 2.0 version and can do a double with a tab....so this works for me as I rather have the steelbook for cosmetics.

It's a beautiful steelbook, one of the best I've personally seen. As has been mentioned, the disc itself is a tired reissue of the existing version.

The 2.0 version is really its own thing because they added CGI and other changes, many fans don't consider it the original Ghost In The Shell.

The steelbook is currently the best available for the original, unaltered Ghost in the Shell. It's simply a lackluster transfer that seems to have been put out to appease whining fans.

So if you brought it in the last few days or last week or so - buy it again for $39.99 - return the $59.99 one to the store - save $20.00.
I passed since I have all the movies on both DVD and Blu-Ray - not one I'll double-up on.

Edit - Ugh, forgot to mention - Star Wars-The Force Awakens-Blu-ray Steelbook - was priced at $9.99 yesterday.
Unfortunately I never checked to see if all of the other Star Wars movies Blu-Ray Steelbooks were priced that.
As I would have been all over that if that was the case.

I really like those covers - but there's no way I'll triple/quadruple/etc. dip just for that. I already own them on BR and that's good enough. I'll just look up the cover art and satisfy myself by viewing a digital copy online somewhere.

I looked them up... WOW! The interior montages are as stunning as is the Ross outer artwork! It's very tempting...

Only thing stopping me from buying them is that they are best buy steelbooks on legacy releases. 90% of the time those end up on sale for $10 somewhere down the line.

I just ordered a bluray from BB, -my first in a while, -and they offered $1 off if I'd pick it up in the store rather than ship it to my home. I wasn't expecting that. I suppose that's a reaction to Walmart?
Unfortunately, between tax and gas money I'd probably only make under 50 cents on the deal.

I've had the discount show up on my regular pc. I'm assuming the discount is on select titles and select times as I get offered the discount on certain titles earlier in the day but no discount offered later in the day or at night.
