Worked for me on my first try on my desktop via Firefox. Didn't work for me on my phone also using Firefox. Since when has Best Buy being doing this? I've been deleting a lot of their emails for awhile now.

It's been at least a year since they stopped refunds for recent purchases. I had one in transport that dropped $10 in price. They flatly refused. After being refused via email I got on chat, the CS spouted the new policy and cut me off while I was typing my argument as to why they should make an exception.

Walmart has a "store pickup credit" on items - right now it's ~4.5%. Mother's Day week it was ~15% for many items.

The problem I have with BB's $1 off offer is little of what they sell online is available here for store pickup. At least with WM you can still get the credit even if the store doesn't stock the item and they'll ship it to the store. BB doesn't offer ship to store for pickup. I just verified this to be sure - I could get the $1 credit for store pickup but the closest store with the item in stock for pickup is ~75 miles away. Yeah... right... There's no way I'm going to do that.

The Walmart thing does work on blu rays as well, just not everything.

Picked up my copy of Heat ($5.99) and King Kong ($6.99) without any issues.

King Kong turned out to be a really good deal. It had two $8 Mummy cash stickers on it. One on the slip and another on the case. Then about 30 mins later I got another redemption code by email. So $7 for a blu ray and $24 in movie tickets. I guess I'm taking the family to see The Mummy when it comes out

The very reason that I stopped buying many blus from Amazon once taxes kicked in for us. I limit my blu ray purchases from Amazon to hard or impossible to find copies at local B&M stores or absolute bargains. I use my 45 day return/price match policy at Best Buy to get the best deals on media. Amazon doesn't seem to care.

I've started doing the same but add Walmart and Target to the mix. They all offer at least 30 days price protection. My CC offers 90 days but it's a hassle to file a claim. And since all 3 PM Amazon I only have to worry about them having it in stock.

I don't know how long they've been doing it but WM now offers pre-order price protection. The last 2 pre-orders I did from them dropped in price before shipping and I didn't have to cancel/reorder or contact CS to get the lower price. It just happened. And since they offer free shipping on almost all media pre-orders with no minimum they now get more of my business.

Unfortunately in Wa state I get hit with Tax from all the major retailers that have b&m's + Amazon.

While I despise Super D, I do order from DD at times to avoid the 10.5% sales tax. Also order direct from manufacturers, & ebay.

Sales tax keeps going up. 10.5% is ridiculous.

So have I (Amazon started in my state!); but with all the no tax options I'm going to use their tax free competitors first unless Amazon is well more than 10% less. It would also be helpful if Amazon would allow their "3rd party sellers" to combine shipping like ebay does.

Beware, the 'Leon' and 'Fifth Element' steelbooks are not the remastered versions. But I might get them JUST for the steelbook case (decisions)

EDIT: None of the steelbooks (Fifth Element, Leon, Drive, Desperado, Superbad, Dr.StrangeGlove, District 9, Snatch) are available for shipping or store pickup, so what was the point of adding them ?

Yeah, I was pretty amazed as well. In one day at Best Buy I was able to catch up on just about all the new releases i desired during the first few months of the year! And grabbing "Magnificent 7" and "Passengers" for $5 was a crazy good deal...

We're sure this is a 3D/2D/bonus BD version and not some new 3D/2D/DVD variation, right? BB's site isn't very specific. I thought the original had 4 disks (3D/2D/Bonus BD/DVD), so if this has 3, it's something different. I read several lukewarm reviews and never saw the film, but am starting to amass 3D films, and would want all the bonus content. Unfortunately, the closest Best Buy with stock is ~35 miles away.

I'm guessing it's the same version they have in the cardboard cases with the other 3D movies on sale. It's a re-release that dropped the DVD version, but all the content is the same.

Edit: Decided to visit the local BB anyway and found a single copy of Prometheus 3xBD. Maybe that's BB's SOP...mark low quantity (not no quantity) items as out of stock on the site? Life of Pi 3D for $9.99 also caught my eye and I had a hard time determining the contents, as the back panel made no reference to any extras or a second disk. This is also a 2xBD. If the store has 3 or less of a movie, it'll show up as out of stock, so people don't order something that they don't have.
