My store still has a pretty good selection of the $9.99 titles in stock and set off in an area to highlight them. The only one I haven't seen is Hulk. I wish they would rotate more titles to sale price at $9.99 week-to-week to give a little variety prior to coupon expiration on 1/28.

The copy I got is the older version (not the 10th Anniversary) and it was sitting on the shelf marked with 2 price tags. One was $11.99 and the other said $9.99, so I took it up to the customer service and got it for $4.99 after the coupon. It was definitely a lucky find though!

I checked the BB website and it was $24.99 I think?

Has anyone been given 8.5x11 paper copies of the Trade-n-save coupon?

My Best Buy ran out and gave me copies of the coupon for my trade-ins. Since I visit multiple Best Buy's, I asked the Customer Service rep to "validate" them by putting their Store#, date and signature on it.

I won't copy them myself, but this seems like a risky move that could easily be exploited to allow copies to be used.

Or be denied because it is not an original coupon with proper trade-in receipt? For that very reason, I refuse to part with my trade-in DVDs until I find a Blu-ray I want. Which brings me to ask, why does anyone trade their DVDs in BEFORE selecting their purchase(s)?

I know what I am going to purchase, but have run into the issue that the store I traded-in at does not have the movies I want ... I know another store has them, but already traded-in.

These are discs I have already upgraded to Blu and was going to sell anyway, and ebay is only fetching $2 to $3 for them, so if it comes down to not finding something, I'm only out a few dollars.

I guess I could go into the store first and scope out the BD's I want before bringing in the DVDs from the car to trade them in.

In any case, I didn't have any issues tonight using the coupons.

I mainly wanted to get rid of the dvds I unloaded on them (had them for months with no idea what to do with them). I turned them all in at the first store that took them since I was unsure if they would take them (some titles were adultish and one had a crack in it). I would have used them all if not for titles tagged at $9.99 being $7.99. Since I don't care about anything in next weeks ad, I will stop by a couple stores and find something to use my last 2 coupons on.

Ordered my Dutch thru Redtagmarket.com, it was only $11.41 with free shipping, also ordered Beverly Hills Cop for $8.59, $21.00 total, not bad for two Blu's.

i wonder if bestbuy will restock the 9.99 blu rays,i went to 3 stores about every 2 days,within a week,the spots are empty for most of the sale movies...i do look down the blu ray isle to look at all of their 9.99 movies

I went to BB in Pittsfield MA last Saturday, and they were pretty well wiped out. Still found 5 I wanted, though:

Went to customer service to check on the prices, and had to correct them twice -- It went from $53 to $37 to the correct price. The girl there was really nice about it, so I wasn't too irritated. Louie had to be manually corrected, which has been mentioned in this thread. Good deal.

Has anyone here worked at Best Buy? There was one time a couple years ago when I was looking for a movie on sale, and they were out of stock. The guy there said that they get their deliveries on Tuesday, and to check back then. I know new releases come out then, so it's obvious that they would get a delivery, but I would assume that they get stuff more frequently than that. Anyone know?

Anyway, I decided to try another BB yesterday (Wed). Not only were they fully stocked, but there was a worker there with a cart that had well over 100 blu-rays in it. I had a list with 30 movies on sale, and they had about half of them. Went home with:

Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas was on sale for 4.99 after the coupon. The worker there put a Criterion edition in front of the sign, so I snagged it. Of course it rang up as 29.99, so I showed him the sign. After a bit of a commotion and him checking the computer, he said it was a different edition, and that the regular one was out of stock. Hey, I tried.

I just have them sticker my trade-ins at the door (like they do for returns) and then I go browsing for what I want. When I'm done, I trade-in however many I need.

I've enjoyed this sale; I had one problem yesterday when an over zealous, balding 35-ish guy working the customer service counter wouldn't let me use the coupons on Alien and Aliens... I walked up to the counter with my trade in DVD and the Blu-Rays I wanted to buy. He took my DVDs and processed them, THEN told me the coupons wouldn't work on the Aliens blus because they were on sale... despite the fact I'd bought discs on sale using the coupon there the day before. Rob at the Hoover, AL store pretty much sucks.

I just went to a different store (Hwy 280) and had no issues.

Yeah, the City of Industry store gave me a really hard time trading in two discs. Gave me a dirty look before even looking at the titles, like the money was coming out of their pocket. I still have to call corp and complain about them. I've been to several other Best Buys with no trouble. Picked up so far, $4.99 each-

Traded in another five DVDs today. Was able to get rid of a couple of those annoying Blockbuster Exclusive titles that I had bought during PVD sales, they accepted them without a second glance. Picked up Casino (4.99), Nightmare on Elm Street 2 & 3 (4.99), Out of Sight (7.99) and Louie Season One (4.99). The Louie Season One did not automatically take off the $5, as several other people on the board have pointed out. However, the girl ringing it up didn't even question it. She merely called a manager over for an override, who did it without any fuss. I have to say, this sale and all of my transactions have gone by so smoothly that it actually makes me think a little more highly of Best Buy, which is a high compliment after the number of times I've been burned by them.

Finally got a sympathetic cashier who overrode the $9.75 price on GLORY and used the coupon for a final price of $4.75. Also picked up BRAVEHEART for $4.99. Tried on THE SEARCHERS which was stickered at $9.99, but was selling for $7.99. May go back for THE CROW and LOGAN'S RUN.

Picked up 8 movies today for $38: Billy Elliot $4.99, 40 Year Old Virgin $1.99 (both using $3 Universal coupons), Legally Blonde $7.99, Nightmare on Elm St 2 and 3 $4.99, Kill Bill 1 and 2 $4.99 each, and Good Will Hunting $4.99. I will definitely do this one more time next week.
