If you're not in the state, they really have no way of enforcing shit like that. Some sites are just being pussies and fucking their customers. If they're not going to collect it, they're invading our privacy by reporting it. Plus, they're fucking lazy.

I think the states could enforce it via federal court. After all, that's where the law was challenged:

Not sure if anyone's still so following it, but the deluxe 3-disc Arrow box set of LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT raved about earlier in this thread is now down to $8.37 CDN / $6.41 U.S. Pretty sure that's an all time low anywhere, and regardless of shipping, I think most American pals here should be hard pressed to pass it up now. I'm sure these will run out eventually and the the price will shoot back up to typically over-inflated Canadian levels.

I just took a quick peek at the price and it has indeed jumped back up.

Currently at $31.39 CDN

Was in Amazon.ca or a 3rd Party? I haven't seen Amazon's direct price above $15 in several weeks. When I click the link it frequently send me to 3rd Party and I have to manually switch sellers

Re: International Blu-ray deals

I want my $2.34 back. And I was pretty underwhelmed by it. Maybe it'll grow on me.

"Ships from and sold by Amazon.ca"

$8.42 CDN now

Not sure why you can't see it. Amazon can't actually block people in one country from seeing something on another country's site, can they?

If it doesn't, save it until the price goes back up permanently, then re-sell it. You should be able to get a little more than $2.34 surely.

EDIT:

Down to $8.26 CDN / $6.35 U.S.

.

I just checked and for some reason the link is sending me to Amazon.com instead of Amazon.ca

I didn't notice this last night.

It's been all over the place. I checked after you originally posted it, and it was at 35CDN. Once I saw the post this morning, I checked and it was about
$14USD including shipping (~$7) . I placed my order then. I just checked it, and it back up to 35. Thanks for the reminder, as I probably wouldn't have checked.

Re: International Blu-ray deals

Just how many copies of this did Arrow press ? Feeling beyond a fool for paying $35 on US pre-order a few months ago. With these prices, there are enough resellers that will stock up to undercut prices to degrees that it will never reach its 'Limited Edition' value again. But then, pigs have been been known to fly...

I still don;t think the $35 price in Amazon.ca. I've clicked several times today adn a bunch over the last several days just to watch the carnage, but the Amazon.ca list price has always been under $9, but I almost always have to switch to Amazon as the seller.

Either it's a 3rd Party (Rarewaves-US is what I see commonly) or the referral link is starting to bounce people to Amazon.com again.
Using my regular browser I get send to CA, using a browser with no redirect blocker it sends me to Amazon.com

I went to amazon.ca, searched for Last House on the Left and got the $8.20 CDN price. Came to $14.52 US with shipping. At $9.95 CDN, shipping cost more than the 3 disc set.

Quite a few of the Warner 3D discs are around $15US -- Wonder Woman, Lego Ninjago, BR2049, Geostorm, Jusrice League, Skull Island, etc

This summers 3D are around $18-19USD -- Tomb Raider, Rampage,

Suicide squad, In the Heart of the Sea around $11USD

Re: International Blu-ray deals

Down to $8.18 CDN now. Re-thinking the second order of these I placed last night at $8.41, but really, it's nickels and dimes.

As for finding other things to pair, it's not necessarily easy even for Canadians! Because three of these didn't crack the $35 free shipping barrier, I had to scrounge my Canadian and U.S. wishlists to find something reasonably bargain-priced priced to top up. Usually when there's one decent deal like this on the Canadian site, there are a few others that turn up, but this really seems to be the only real steal on there at the moment.

Re: International Blu-ray deals

^You can find an OOP item that you know is not coming back into print, and add that.

I'm not sure how long they'll wait before they ship a single item, while waiting for another item.

I actually added an OOP CD as well as a pre-order for Trilogy of Terror, and mine shipped within 2 days, IIRC.

Re: International Blu-ray deals

Insane. At around $8.13 CDN (I think? Or maybe it was $8.33?) they made it a Prime-only item for the last day or so, but clearly that didn't last long. Either not that many people are finding this deal, of somehow Amazon Canada got, like, 90% of Arrow's stock.

There's also one "used - very good" copy on there now for $6.57 CDN / $5.09 US from "Warehouse Deals". Can't help but wonder if that's one of these same sets, but the wrapping came off.

Re: International Blu-ray deals

Have we confirmed this is the right Blu-ray? Maybe Amazon in Canada is confusing it with the older release.

Re: International Blu-ray deals

I'm tempted to bite but hesitant with that 9.95 CAD shipping charge, I wish there was some other deals to combine to make the shipping hurt a little less

Re: International Blu-ray deals

Back to non-prime this morning after a 12 hr hiatus. Prime "all" the way back to 8.14 though if recent history follows it will start dropping slowly soon enough.

Is there anyone with a Kentucky address that can place an order from Amazon.ca?
Is there any one outside of Kentucky that can't place an order (or get through the Address/Billing confirm screen)?

For several months, most (?all) Kentucky addresses have been blocked for some reason. It's not specifically a PO Box thing since many folks with normal addresses than can order from AmazonUK, etc just aren't able to order through Canada.
