Of course, I just ordered Eaten Alive and Tenebrae a couple weeks ago for 8.99. Argh.

There is absolutely no excuse for anyone to skip buying it at this price.

Problem is, I didn't order a third one that's also part of the promotion. If I was ordering today, I'm sure I could have found another to add to the order.

Man with a Movie Camera (and other works by Dziga Vertov) (1929) [Masters of Cinema] Limited Edition 4-Disc Dual Format (Blu-ray & DVD) £14.99 (£12.49 w/VAT taken out + shipping). About $23.50 USD shipped.

MoC's Description: https://www.eurekavideo.co.uk/moc/ma...s-dziga-vertov

For those who are fans of Masters Of Cinema, this is a really great price on a 4-Disc (2 Blu-ray + 2 DVD) set. Not to mention, a real gem to add to your collection. Initially, this was only at this price on HMV's website, but as some people know...they don't ship to the US. Once Amazon UK adjusted their price, I went for it.

Amazon UK

The Hobbit Trilogy - Extended Edition [Blu-ray 3D] [2015] Region Free

(hyperlink removed due to redirect)

This is the 3D set, which is unavailable, as far as I know, in the US as a set. This might have been a few pounds cheaper, but I haven't seen it under 40 pounds personally.

Currently: £39.99 (£33.33 VAT removed + Shipping) = $53 Shipped.

Dang. Pretty good deal. Wonder if it will go lower in the future? Not sure if I should bite or wait.

By the way, your link takes you to the US amazon website for some reason. At least it did for me (even though quoting it I see you have the amazon UK site in there. More DVDTalk shenanigans perhaps?).

Pretty much all media gets cheaper if you're willing to be patient. Inventory is cash in the wrong form.

I'm trying to wait, I'm hoping it goes a bit lower.

And yes, I've noticed the same DVDTalk shenanigans recently.

Yeah, it'll probably drop to £29.99 by the end of this year, but maybe around mid-Summer early Fall.

Ahhh yes, the infamous redirects!

If I hold down the Ctrl key while clicking the link I am taken to the UK Site, instead of being redirected (at least with Internet Explorer 11).

Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection [Blu-ray] [1931] [Region Free] is now only £13.99. Pretty much the lowest it gets. It has been this low before, but it's been several months. So, if you missed out around Christmas time, you can get it now.

re: International Blu-ray deals

Bought mine for £13.42 a month ago so it was a little cheaper back then.

Wonder why they released another more expensive version with a fancier-looking coffin packaging when the content is the same as far as I know.

It was unique so many folks paid a significant premium for it.
Pretty much same content since the UK edition just put the std boxset insdie the coffin. There was a French version which had a different interior layout some people preferred (many didn't like that one either).
Would have been nice if they put in some extra content besides just the coffin packaging. Might make people a little more wanting to buy the more expensive edition.

re: International Blu-ray deals

The coffin packaging looks cool but wouldn't fit well with the rest of my bluray collection given its unique design. Still, nice for collectors but given my limited budget, I ordered the cheaper version.

Yea, thanks for the heads up!

Holding control wouldn't get me to Amazon UK. Had to go directly to the site and search for the set. Just purchased a set and it should be here by the 23/27 which works great for me.

I almost bit on the Hepburn. Unfortunately you have to buy 2 sets to get the full discount, & the Hepburn is all that's even of mild interest to me. I sure wish the US $ would drastically improve vs Euro currencies............

Amazon US MP vendor OxfordshireEngland has it for $10.68 w/$3.99 shipping to the US. That's only about a dollar more than with the deal from Amazon UK.
