I'd like to pick up Zombie but I'm a little uneasy after reading some of these comments.

I ordered Vampyres, Fire and Ice and The Prowler on DVD and Zombie on Bluray with Paypal. My Receipt from Paypal says $31 was sent to SiomosD (used[email protected]). Are these used movies??

I don't post on this board but found this thread by way of Twitter. Saw your post and asked, to which Demetrios replied:

we don't sell used except in our used DVD section :)

Use a credit card instead of paypal so you have better protection, even though the place doesn't seem to be a scam.

My orders say completed in paypal, so I assume they went through without a problem. No holds or pendings.

I got 3 Blus, let's see what happens. The prices were too good to pass up.

Got Salon Kitty.
With the recent DD Synapse sale and this, we only need someone else to step up with a Severin sale to complete the cult label trifecta.

This sale puts me up to 25 (that's just the blus) and I still don't think I'm finished.

I can't stand the Fulci films, the harder-edged Eurotrash or the dorky stuff like Circle of Iron or Fire and Ice, so I've got everything that interests me.

I realize Fulci is an acquired taste. It was for me, but my tolerance for Italian schlock has grown significantly in recent years.

Never seen Circle of Iron, but the reviews on this site are not very favorable. I did pick up Fire and Ice because I'm a minor fan of Ralph Bakshi (it's his best looking film) and an ever bigger fan of Frank Frazetta. Surprisingly, I read Robert Rodriguez was planning to shoot a live-action remake next year.

Supposedly (per Twitter) under pressure from consumers about uncertainy regarding speed/progress of a weeks prior Shout Factory sale ($11.99-15.99 Blus) this guy placed some orders on Amazon at a loss to ensure consumers with outstanding transactions got their merchandise by the end of this week. Although I think he filled a lot of them himself.

+1, I wouldn't mind an economical Code Red outlet either.

If that were true, that's a pretty stand-up move, though I don't think it's necessary. Well, I think it's unnecessary. I don't mind the wait, but I understand how some people might get antsy, especially since I imagine many of these orders are from first-time customers (like myself). It could pay off in the long run, though. If orders arrive quickly or at least in a reasonable time, people will be more apt to hit up the next sale the store has.

I'm very iffy on a blind-buy for Circle of Iron. A bad horror movie has more replay value to me, especially because of the October Horror Challenge. That's why I don't mind splurging on the Fulci films. I don't love all of them, but I'll admit that my appreciation for Fulci has grown over the years. I think he really is an acquired taste.

If you don't have the BU Blu for DJANGO in your collection, you might as well throw out your collection.

I feel exactly the same way...I wasn't sure about picking this up as a blind buy and decided not to. Horror films, I am much more likely to blind buy.

I saw your post, and I suddenly thought I had forgotten to add Django to my order. I was briefly panicked but my confirmation email shows I didn't forget about it.

Circle of Iron is not that bad, it's infinitely more entertaining than many of the schlock Italian horror titles from BU. Circle Of Iron vaguely reminds one of a philosophical Kung-fu movie without a ton of great action.
