Thanks! Grabbed this and opted for the quicker method of shipping so this actually bumped up the price to $25.18 for me.

If it was eligible for Prime and I could have gotten the 2 day shipping I would have gone that route. But since the basic shipping did warn I may get it after Christmas, I figured for an extra couple $$ and guaranteed delivery before Christmas it was worth it.

First Amazon for $29.99, then Barnes & Noble.com for $25.19 + tax, and now $22.97 from NBC Universal Store. It seems like a legitimate price, but I'm going to stick with the Barnes & Noble one which just shipped because it isn't worth the hassle of ordering this one and doing a return at B&N over $3 and change.

Hmmmm, I'm tempted, but I've already spent so much on BDs in the last couple weeks...

EXACTLY my condition too. I see the DVD's in my collection routinely but have never had the inclination to pop them in again. Am probably one of the few ones like you that thinks replay value on these movies is less. And knowing how shoddily the BD conversion has been done on the 1st one which probably is the best, there's just no way am spending any money on this BD set. Far more appealing titles out there and in the pipeline.

I passed on it too. It seems strange that this went down so fast. With declining DVD sales, I wonder if new releases of catalog titles are struggling. Even LOTR is still 50 bucks at Amazon. Wonder if we will see a repeat of BTTF???

It was probably a pricing error. NBC Universal was and is selling it for 49.98 on thier own website so I doubt they would intentionally sell it for $30 less on Amazon.
