Woke up at 7am and went to my local BB at 8:30. They had all 4 copies of the Ben Hur set marked at 69.99. Took 1 to the register and rang up at 10.99. wanted to make sure I got a good set since BB shipping on fragile stuff sometimes leaves a bit to be desired.

it seems all the deals from the midnight sale yesterday are active in store.

Citizen Kane digibook -- 10.99
Exorcist digibook -- 10.99

It also must be the one with the statue in the box.

Someone wiped my local store out, but if anyone can grab an extra, I will gladly pay you back for the set plus shipping.

FYI for St. Louis area talkers, the Best Buy at Ellisville still has two of these as of 10 am.

Those near the Tacoma mall in Washington State can find a few Ben Hur and many Citizen Kane sets still on the shelves. I was in and out within minutes. It looked like they had all of the door busters still on sale and still in stock. People didn't need to camp out there at all

Citizen Kane is not the ultimate edition, that rings up at $59 or something like that. just to reiterate.

Anyone in the LA area been able to pick-up the Citizen Kane digibook? No go at the Westwood and Pico locations, though both had around 5 of the Ben Hurs.

I got to Best Buy at 10:30 pm, already 400 people ahead of me. Someone probably bought all of them to resell.

They don't. I was unable to buy the non-statue version at the discounted price. I didn't know there were two versions. When I went to another Best Buy that had the statue version, it rang up $10.99 no problem.

Ok, weird story.

As I said, the BB at 44th in NYC doesn't have any. I tried to get the regular Ultimate Collector's Edition, but the cashier wasn't having it. So, being stuck at work today, I called up my little brother in Michigan, and asked him if he would mind heading out to BB in Brighton, MI (where I can't imagine too many people are interested in Ben-Hur on BD.)

Well, even though I specifically told him that it was the big box, he picked up the Best Buy-exclusive BD/DVD combo set, and somehow sweet-talked the cashier into giving it to him for $10.99. And he did me a favor, so I can't exactly yell at him for getting the wrong one. I can live without the special features (which I'd probably watch once), but I'm worried about the whole film compressed on to one BD. Has anyone read any reviews of the one BD version vs. the two BD version? Otherwise, I guess I'll just try to take it back. (I might say I forgot the receipt and try to get the $35 list price in store credit.)

I grabbed the last one at my local BB. I put it upside down (purposely) and asked her to check the price. Score! It'll make a nice present for my mom. No Citizen Kanes though.

My store had one, but it rang up $59.99. I was there at 10:50am, so I assume it was a doorbuster which ended at 10am.

I found one sitting on the shelf around 3 am today. Looked like someone had picked it up and decided to put it back as the box was leaning forward on the shelf. It was tagged as being on sale also. After seeing the length of the checkout line, I decided to leave and try again later.

I came back a couple of hours later and it was still there. No one in line to check out so I grabbed it. Also picked up Mimic while I was there. As I was walking toward the checkouts I noticed some more Ben Hurs sitting on top of a blu-ray/dvd display rack at the front of the store. There was 2 more BBY exclusives and 2 non-excl. sets. Decided against buying any more as I already have one on order. Just wanted to make sure that I did get one though.

They also had the Citizen Kane digibooks marked with 3-4 on the shelf.

The $69.99 one with the statuette is the one that is $10.99. I checked out a $59.99 one too but it was the same price - shame as there were two of those.

I was able to get two copies of the regular ultimate collector's edition for $10.99. They were in the same spot with a tag for the sale price. They scanned at $60 but the manager adjusted the price.

You got lucky. The manager I dealt with was rude and completely unwilling to even acknowledge how a customer could confuse the two boxed sets with each other when looking up the items on Best Buy's website. Luckily, I found the statue version (which is identical to the non-statue version in every other capacity) at another Best Buy 5 minutes away.

Are some picking up the Ben Hur UCE ....the big set with the book and everything and getting that to ring up at $10.99? Someone mentioned they got a manager to price match....was that for the big set? Just got back from BB and they had several of the big sets, and I had them scan them at one of the terminals and they were $59.99.......

These are the big sets, but you must get the Best Buy exclusive version which comes with a metal figurine. That is the version that is on sale. The regular big set without the figurine is not on sale. If you are super-lucky you might get a clerk to give you the other one for that price, but most people are being denied the price on the non-exclusive set.
