Black Friday deals on Star Wars Complete Saga?

This may be the shortest thread ever, but I thought it might be nice to have a spot where BF deals on SWCS could be listed.
Let the silence begin.....

Amazon was selling it for $58 on first week of November. I didn't get it because I heard Blu-ray isn't that good.

I'm asking Santa for the REAL versions on Blu-Ray.

Santa is one impressive dude, but he's not a miracle worker.

I think you mean DeepDiscount. Amazon's never gone below $79.99. Not sure if DD was an error, but I've seen nothing on the set for this coming Black Friday. Maybe you can blame George Lucas for that?

I'm glad you found it necessary to post that Blu-ray isn't that good in a Blu-ray deals forum... thanks for your time and input!

...and enjoy your VHS tapes, I guess. *shrug*

I doubt we see any sales of note on Star Wars this Christmas. Fox and Lucas don't need to discount it to sell units. That Deepdiscount deal might be the lowest price for many months.

I think he probably meant he heard this particular blu-ray wasn't good.

I was lucky enough to grab it from DD when it was $58 (although it actually $62 for me, damn Illinois sales tax).

I haven't received it yet but did get notification that it shipped. So I should have it soon. I figured it wouldn't go much lower during the holiday shopping season.

I think quality is OK but it earned only 2.5 stars out of 5 stars (Amazon) and people are complaining about this Blu-ray release. So that's why I didn't buy it. It feels like the price for used condition will drop big soon.

Most are complaining about the content, not the quality

I could totally see Lucas not wanting any deals on this through the first holiday season. I haven't picked up either this or LOTR--waiting for the right deal.

The bad reviews are mostly from people who are upset about further changes made to the movies; namely Darth Vader's NOOOOOO! from Revenenge of the Sith being placed over the scene where Vader prevents the Emperor from killing Luke in Return of the Jedi.

You need to read more reviews from other sources and actually READ what they are saying. Also check out the thread on this forum. The A/V quality is very good to excellent.
