At least they released a couple movies in Blu...
This is the thing that really sucks. They KNOW how many people want those seasons JUST for the Mark Hamill and Christopher Reeve episodes.

I think I'm mostly shocked at how fast Crow went considering I got this at Walmart when it came out for $10 which to me is already one hell of a deal.

I went to Amazon at 3:36 and The Crow was already 95% claimed. Good thing I remembered out of the blue. By the time I checked again at 3:40 it was 100% claimed. Was able to get Archer Season 1 as well, a blind buy for me but I'm hoping it will be good.

I had forgotten how nerve-racking these lightning deals were. Setting it in my calendar and doing a reminder and then just sitting there with my finger on the clicker waiting for the deal to become active.

Already blew more then $100 on the Bones sets, Dollhouse, Transformers 3, and Burn Notice season 3

Re: Amazon Blu Ray Black Friday Deals - Today

My first orders:
Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection (Star Trek I, II, III, IV, V, VI + The Captain's Summit Bonus Disc) [Blu-ray] $39.99
Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy (Blu-ray + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] $29.99
Bridesmaids (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy) $9.99
The Crow [Blu-ray + Digital Copy] $4.99
American Beauty (Sapphire Series) [Blu-ray] $10.49

I just need to wait for Pulp Fiction hopefully I get in on it, add some shipping filler movies I've been wanting if I do , and I think except for Super 8 and Conan the Barbarian(2011) tomorrow I may be done. Though way things are looking I'm sure Amazon will wave something in my face again like this morning when they sent me a email the JP set was $29.99.

$13.99 for Saving Private Ryan is not a deal. It was cheaper than that this Summer.

I'm grabbing the Bourne Trilogy.. Great movies and since I didn't pay much for the dvd's.. it's worth the upgrade. Also getting Bridesmaids on DVD for 5.99.

Edit. didn't realize the blu was 9.99.. so I deleted the dvd and grabbed the blu.

Re: Amazon Blu Ray Black Friday Deals - Today

Somebody help me out here...it's not part of the deals, I guess, but Amazon has been offering the season sets of Battlestar Galactica from $19 to $25 per season, so I picked up all 4 seasons on Blu for around $87 shipped.

I got hooked on the show recently via Netflix streaming and have only seen up to the first couple episodes of S2, so I was a little thrown when I saw things like Razor, The Plan and Season 4.5 also for sale. Am I correct in that the four season sets contain all the episodes, from the miniseries to the series finale?

The four-season set contains Razor, but not The Plan. Season 4.5 is just the last half of season 4, so it is included.

Thank you for the quick response! I can deal with losing The Plan at that price, seeing as how the complete box set is over double what I paid.

Sweet! Got a copy of Pulp Fiction!

Now going to take a break until Mimic goes live!

Picked up ID4 and Pulp fiction. Coming to America should have been a 99 cent title, and I would have got it.

Re: Amazon Blu Ray Black Friday Deals - Today

Today's tally:

Pulp Fiction
The Crow
Beauty and the Beast Criterion
Modern Family Season 2

While I doubt it will be the case, unless a list comes back that has a lot of great $5 tites at WalMart and/or some killer deals pop up the next coming days I'm done shopping for Blu's. The only other thing would be if somehow Hastings has a combined free shipping/% off deal on used Blu's. But lately their BIG deals have been pretty meh. Will have to wait and see.

Re: Amazon Blu Ray Black Friday Deals - Today

Got this order:
Pulp Fiction [Blu-ray]
Dr. Strangelove [Blu-ray]
North by Northwest [Blu-ray]

I wanted to get some older films I'd not seen in a while.

So with the last order $124.92. Think I'm done.

Pulp Fiction is actually taking longer then the Crow did.

Re: Amazon Blu Ray Black Friday Deals - Today

So the original price of a lightning deal doesn't count towards the $25 free ship?

Grabbed Pulp Fiction and Independence Day. I find it funny that ID4 sold out quicker than PF.
