How come no more Best Buy or Target ads?

I know the DVD section gets them and sometimes the Blu-ray prices are posted, but no more for this forum exclusively? I don't get early or I would glady post. Me sad.

The last few weeks no one has bothered to post the Blu-ray specific listings here though, next week's Best Buy ad not withstanding.

Most of the time the listings in the DVD Bargains section includes both though.

I'd like to see a thread in each forum because BD is my preferred format. Something I suggested in other past posts (which I don't know if it's possible on DVD Talk and I expect no moderators noticed those posts) would be to put a shortcut/link in both forums which point to the same thread. That would be the ideal solution for the Target and BB ads each week.

No one is stopping anyone else from posting them. Don't expect the same 3-4 posters to do it when it's readily available at other sites.

Exactly. It's either lack of effort, lack of interest, or lack of time. If you feel it's of value and you have the time, then you should go ahead and post it, even if it's simply compiling and editing information already posted elsewhere. No one will object.

Re: How come no more Best Buy or Target ads?

I'm confused. The BB and Target ads are posted every week before the sales begin. Sometimes they aren't posted more than a couple days in advance, but I can survive. I'm happy that somebody posts them as I wouldn't even know where to look to find these ads posted earlier.

The only thing I'd hope could happen is that a link be posted in both the DVD and Blu-Ray forums to the same thread because I normally only look at the Blu-Ray forums and I have to remember to go over to the DVD side to look for the BB and Target weekly ads.

Fidodido is so thoughtful he posts his Fry's ads in both forums, but those are 2 separate copies of the thread rather than 2 links to the same thread. If DVD Talk doesn't support links to the same thread from various forums, that would be a very cool feature to add.
