Doesn't bother me if something isn't the all-time-lowest price if it's a good price. Can't go back in time anyway.

Unfortunately, the 6 movies are squished on 2 discs. Hellraiser, Halloween and Phantoms are OAR. But Venom, Darkness and Curse are cropped to 1.85 from the original 2.35. And the audio is only 2.0 DD. Since both releases are from Echo Bridge, I'm guessing the 3-movie version has the same video/audio quality.

6-Film Masters of Terror V.2 [Blu-ray] (2012) - $16.97

I always look for bargains at warehousedeals.com, Amazon's sister site. Click on any of the product links posted there and if they have a used copy of the same at warehousedeals.com, it usually shows right under the pricing for the brand new one. At $9.99 for several of the Fox digibooks (Tora Tora Tora, All ABout Eve, Hustler, Comancheros, Rocky etc) I thought they were a bargain until I snagged a used copy of each from warehousedeals for about $8 each. Hey, each $ counts and all your Amazon.com privileges (coupons, GC, Prime etc) work here as well.

Also, if you're interested in extras, take a look around for the individual blu-ray releases. Venom, for instance, ports over some special features from the original DVD - but I don't believe they're included on any of the collections.

It all depends. I bought this a few months back during a Best Buy U&S and the code worked fine. I also bought a a cheap Fantastic Four DVD from Amazon that the code expired years ago and it still worked. Warner seems to be a bigger stickler for code expiration dates, but even those sometimes still work.

Yes, it does depend. I missed Bridesmaids (Universal) by a few days earlier this year.

Nice! I hope we see other new releases get this kind of price treatment.

Same here and it really ticked me off. I'll think twice about getting Universal discs again.

Re: Amazon Blu-ray Discounts and Deals Thread #27

So it would appear that Amazon has PM'd BB on Chronicle and Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows for $12.99 (sooner than I expected), but for some reason not on Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

Does anyone know (without me having to check reviews first) if all the extras in SH:GOS are on the BD disc so that if I only get the BD and not the BD + DVD combo pack (which is more expensive), I'm not missing any extras stashed on the DVD only? (It rarely happens but sometimes exclusive extras are on the DVD.)

I guess I need to read more reviews of Chronicle or hopefully there are some You Tube clips to see if it's too shaky-cam for me. Cloverfield gave me motion sickness, so I've avoided buying it at any price (even though I liked the creature effects... what little there was that you could see). I don't want to blind buy Chronicle and find I can't watch it. IMHO, the whole shaky-cam documentary style is a great way to take what could be a good movie and make it into something (potentially) unwatchable. I think the directors think they're cool and hip because they can shake the camera whereas I think they are lazy and stupid for doing so.

Chronicle utilizes the camera perspective very well. It shouldn't give you motion sickness the way Cloverfield did.

I just downloaded it last week and there's no date on the packaging. Just says "subject to expiration" and to check disneyfile.com for more info.

Looks like the rest of the day will have some cyborg scifi, Scorcese, westerns and Disney Nature. No telling yet if they're DVD or Blu.

I don't think the Disney digital codes expire, do they? I know I had to re-download all of them from itunes to get them to show up in my "purchased" tab.
