BB is never YMMV with PM'ing Fry's in my area. They always call Fry's or check the inventory online (if they can). If Fry's has it, they always PM. If Fry's is OOS, then I'm screwed. Usually Fry's has it in stock, especially if I go the first day of the sale. The biggest problem is that stores carry so little inventory that if there are 5 BDs I want at Fry's for the week, Walmart and Target might have 1 of them, and BB might have 2 of them. The rest are only available at Fry's and usually not available for free shipping. Just like you, most of the time there aren't enough titles to justify a drive... mine is about 12 miles each way.

Don't mention GoHastings... A couple hours ago I ordered Planet Earth SE BD used from them for about $20, and then less than 2 hours later BB.com puts it on sale brand new for the same price. Of course there's no way to cancel GoHastings and I doubt they'll act on my email in time before they ship. This will be a valuable lesson to me never to order any sets again from them.

That's how I took it. It's just 30 miles. Seriously, I'd be thrilled to have one that close to me. I've been to the store in Vegas when i was there and loved it. If they're all that nice it's well worth a small trip on a slow weekend to pay them a visit. But, if you don't like the place, then yes, it'd be a waster of your time going.

Excellent price for Josey Wales. This is the non-digibook version, but for those who don't care or don't like digibooks, well worth it. Nice transfer and a great western from Mr. Eastwood.

Saw the many, many price drops this morning but had to get to work so couldn't linger over them. Tempted by the Criterions...even with the sale (hopefully) coming up, there are so many I want that I might cash in this month's reward points and pick up a couple.
