I unfortunately didn't luck out, even though I got to the order processing screen twice.

I don't know about this being a mistake. It was offered online yesterday and in stores today. It was specifically the BB exclusive version with figurine that was on sale, not all copies. The only incidents I've heard of people being denied that price were people trying to buy the regular version or the compact version without all the swag.

They may have been overstocked on the exclusives and just decided that BF would be a good day to get rid of them.

?? The Harry Potter lightning deal ended at 8:34 PST and you could only get it from the lightning deal link, not the regular BD page.

Thats exactly what happened. I hit add to cart literally the second it was available. I thought I had it. It kept spinning "updating deal" or something like that. Then I was added to the waitlist 500+ deep. This was for the $250 Acer. It really feels like they have extremely limited quantities this time around. I dont remember ever seeing so many claimed in a matter of seconds. Especially with DVDs and stuff

I impulse-bought the Transformers 3 deal. Will I be lost if I watch it without having seen #2?

You don't have to see part 2 but that doesn't mean you won't be lost.

Just a little bit, the time line they had in 3 was way out of place. I mean really way out of place.

From the looks of things they made it so there will not be a number 4 but then again. The cube is all powerful.

re: Amazon Blu-ray Discounts and Deals Thread #27

In the last two/three days we have been talking about the $1.00 mp3 credit and the orders. The other day for the 1st time in a very long time. I order 5 Blu-Rays, and 3 TV shows all at once. Today I get 8 emails saying ship. All 8 by UPS, all 8 difference tracking numbers. 6 ship from the same warehouse, the others two others (total of 3). Oh all coming on Nov 29. If they are trying to save this would have been the order to save on shipping.

Wondering if they are going to run a sale for two and a half men (order 3 sets of the 8 out). BTW how much is Ben-Hur at best buy I cannot fine the price on that one.

Yes, I know. I got it during the lightning deal with 92% claimed, but it took so long for their buggy site to check me out that it expired while in my cart.

Since last night, other retailers like Best Buy have been debuting their (sometimes) better prices, and amazon seems to be lagging behind in playing catch up. I still have some points to shop with at amazon, so I'd rather buy things from them than elsewhere, but I may just spend cash at another outlet if they don't increase the pace of good deals.

I don't think this has been a bad sale week at all for them, but I do find it odd that it's 12:30 P.M. on BF and I haven't bought a thing since yesterday afternoon.
I've been thinking the same thing. For the past 2 years they seem to have been the go-to place for most deals, but this year, I'd vote for Best Buy, followed by foxconnect.

After falling for the Transformers 3 lightning deal, I was similarly sucked in by Fast Five at 9.99. I wasn't going to, but I saw it had Jordana Brewster in it, and the reviews actually seem to be pretty good. I don't think I saw more than one or two of these but I'll give this a shot. I do like heists better than car porn.

Hoping Black Friday will be over soon before I fall for any more mindless action deals....

Fast Five was easily the best in the series. I don't think you'll regret it.

Cool. I do have a soft spot for mindless action flicks if they're done right.

You definitely won't regret Fast Five. It's awesome.

I am losing hope on getting any more blus or dvds that I want at amazon, my wishlist just doesn't seem to be going on sale. The last thing I got was the lightening deal of Big Bang Theory season 4.

I'm still considering Rio and Rango--was holding out for further drops but maybe this is it.

I pulled the trigger on Rio but then cancelled it. It feels like something that should get dirt cheap at some point.

I jumped on the Lost whole season for 129.99 on blu-ray and then searched around and got True Blood season 2 on DVD for $9.99 (price to Wal*Mart), Fast Five Blu-Ray for $9.99, and X-Men First CLass for $9.99. Not too bad. Bank account is slowly going away lol.

Amazon has Lightning Fast deals, alright.

You see a flash of light and they disappear before you even click SUBMIT ORDER.

Just bought something else from Best Buy. I have several packages coming from Best Buy, and none from Amazon. Hek, I even looked at Transformers and the prices were still lagging behind, and there was no way I was going to hang around a computer all fucking day, to wait for one of them to decrease a few bucks, only to find out it was sold out by the time I chose Super Saver Shipping.

If this has been reported, sorry for the redundancy, but THE EXORCIST Blu Book is now $10.99. I was able to cancel my previous order and get it for the cheaper price than the $13.49 I ordered it for the other day. Glad it hadn't shipped yet.

Well, I keep waiting for Amazon to match some more prices, but I guess this is pretty much it. There are still some great deals. It just seems like there were more across the board price drops in years past. I'm definitely still making at least one more order; I'm just trying to decide what it will be.
