Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
The Tacoma Wa 72nd superstore hasn't opened. False alarm.
I did go to the other superstore on Pearl. The majority of their new stuff was last week's Dollar Tree stuff at (mostly) $5. Some of the $T BR's were on dvd at BL! They still had a ton of the animated stuff on blur. Would have bought the 2 Shrek's & Puss at $3, but since I don't need them that bad & I'm on a budget 9as I keep reminding myself) I passed.

I can't tell if the new superstore by me is open or not! Lots of cars, & also lots of construction.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
Some of the good $10 titles (I think Disney) have a black "previously viewed" sticker on them. Are they really previously viewed or they are just required to put that sticker by some crazy studio rules. Any one bought any of these.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
Hard to know, but some of them were likely recovered from Rental sites, some may have been demo or open returns or unsold merchandise returns possibly with original wrappings damaged . Some of them have unused DMR slips and some don't

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
The two I've purchased from that lot were PV titles with the standard ring sticker on them and are missing the Disney Movie Rewards code.

Any scratches (from use/rental) on the Disney's?

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
Mine had a few:
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales - BR in very good condition. A couple of very minor scratches. DVD - fair condition with quite a few scratches.
Tomorrowland: BR in very good condition. Quite a few fingerprints/smudges that should clean easily and a few minor scratches (it played and I didn't look at the surface first or I'd have cleaned it). DVD - fair- condition. More scratches than the POC DVD and more fingerprints.
I'd not even looked at the DVDs before you asked. I figure both will play but they look like typical rental discs. The BRs look like they may have received only a small handful of plays.
And I discovered there is a digital code in Tomorrowland (it earned 150 points at disneymovierewards so I'd expect it to work at Movies Anywhere too). It also has the slipcase (if you're into those). The cases on both are in excellent condition.
I must also add that I purchased both, on separate occasions, while redeeming a $5 off $15 purchase and I always spend no more than $16 when redeeming those coupons. So... for the media I consider the $5 to come off that and that I paid full price for the snacks used to get to the coupon minimum. That really helps me justify paying $10 each for rental titles. IMHO, even these Disney ones, shouldn't sell for more than $5 if they were rentals but they're almost always prices as if they were simply used (which almost always are better condition).
**EDIT**
I entered the Tomorrowland code at Movies Anywhere and it redeemed. It's already synced with my Amazon Prime videos.

Thanks for letting us know!
IMO, $10 is too high for rental dumps.

These are all Disney titles. I don't think I've ever seen a Disney title in a clearance rack unless the business was going under and liquidating stock.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
I got the coupon too. The superstore by my house finally opened, & all I could find was a $3 electronics item.
They had about 20 xmas dvd's total.
I really don't get what they're doing with these superstores. Just like the other one in the city I live in, much of both the shelf space & the floor space is empty. Yes, there is a bit more product than in a regular BL, & yes it is nicer looking, but from my background in retail B&M's (including store management) I was always taught that it was about profit per square foot, which has got to be horrible for these BL superstores. It really doesn't make sense to me.
Even the food selection is lame.
I'll probably hit the other store before my coupon expires on 10/27.

I used the Coupon on Shrek Blu/blu 3d/dvd sets of 2, 3 & 4 at Pearl street.
They had a lot of the recent dollar tree stuff on both blu & dvd for $5.

WARNING: All 3 Shrek's that I bought were the 3d/2d/dvd pack. All three said the blu has both versions. Only 4 (Final) will play on my Oppo. 2 & 3 bring up a screen that says you must have a 3d player.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays
From memory, at two Big Lots I found (and bought) 3D versions of Turbo, Mega Mind, Mad 3, Kung Fu Panda, Rise, Peabody and Shrek Forever After. Did not see Shrek 2 or 3 at either store. From the lists I have seen online I think that's all the 3D animation titles from this restock.

For those in Pierce County, Washington State, the new 72nd super store finally got their movie shipment. Nothing unique, but their well stocked on everything we've been mentioning. They do have Shrek 2, 3, & Puss In Boots 3d.
