Cars 2 coupon??

Any hints of a Disney Cars 2 coupon? It comes out next Tuesday, but I haven't seen a coupon anywhere yet.

I believe it was one of the titles on the $5 coupon on the back of a box of fruit snacks (Kelloggs' Cars 2 kind).

Re: Cars 2 coupon??

The DMR $5 coupons typically become active (and are posted all over the place) on Thursday or Friday... so just wait a couple more days. If we don't see a coupon by Friday then I'd start to be worried.

That reminds me... Amazon still shows $31.99 (before $7 coupon) for the 3D combo pack. I sure hope it goes down a few dollars or I'll probably cancel, but we won't know until next week's ads start to be posted (hopefully today).

I hope TRU doesn't just list a 'hot price' again and actually lists the price (like they did with Pooh this week) so I know what I'm doing before Tuesday.

Coupon is live! $5 off the 5-disc combo pack, expires 11/6:

http://www.cars2coupon.com

As mentioned, there is an additional $5 manufacturer's coupon on packages of Cars 2 Fruit Snacks.

Also, as with Pirates 4, the 5-disc combo has an additional bonus BD, not included with the 2-disc combo.

The 2-disc combo (BD + DVD) has:
  • Short: Toy Story Hawaiian Vacation
  • New Short: Air Mater
  • Director Commentary

The 5-disc combo (BD3D + BD + Bonus BD + DVD + DC) adds the following additional extras on the bonus BD:
  • Nuts and Bolts: A Sneak Peek of Cars Land
  • World Tour – Interactive Map
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Short Documentaries
  • Set Explorations from the Different Cities in the Movie

Also, for those who think they may buy $20 worth of Kimberly-Clark products (if you buy Kleenex, Huggies, Scott Towels, etc.), this is a mail in rebate for $10 back for purchasing any BD combo of Cars 2.

https://www.kcc.cr.kimberly-clark.co...ads/rebate.pdf

According to the rebate form, here are the mail requirements:
  • Proof-of-purchase tab or UPC from your Disney Pixar’s CARS 2 on DVD or Blu-Ray Combo Pack. Proof-of-purchase tab is located on the back of the product packaging just above the UPC code.
  • Proof-of-purchase tab or UPC from your Kimberly-Clark products.
  • Cash register receipt from Disney Pixar’s CARS 2 DVD or Blu-Ray Combo Pack purchase imprinted with store name and dated between October 30th, 2011 and January 31st, 2012 with purchase price(s) circled (photocopies acceptable).
  • Cash register receipt(s) from Kimberly-Clark purchase imprinted with store name and dated between October 30th, 2011 and January 31st, 2012 with purchase price(s) circled. Receipts from multiple retailers and transactions allowed (photocopies acceptable).
  • This original, hand-printed, completed certificate (no photocopies allowed).

I would love to see a repeat of POTC 4 at Best Buy. Loved that 6 discer exclusive for $1 less than the 2 disc (with DMR coupon).

Ugh. The Coupon Printer totally didn't work for me on my Mac-- apparently the new Safari Browser and Coupons.com don't agree. Balls.

I think it's bullshit that you have to buy the 3D version to get all the extras.

Hope that's not a trend that continues. I'll be getting the 2 disc combo.

(edit)
AND the coupon is only good for the 5-disc version? What the fuck!?

Honestly, I'm surprised it took them this long to start doing that in order to spur 3D sales, basically forcing it on us who want all the extras.

The Disney coupon is always only good for the 3D version (when the 3D version comes out the same day as the regular version), according to the wording of the coupon. Hasn't stopped people from using it on the other versions in the past though.

The toy book lists the price at $34.99 for the 5-disc. Since that book lasts a while, it's possible that it could be cheaper on release week, but I doubt it. They did the same thing with Toy Story 3. The toy book was released in place of their weekly ad, and the price in the book was the price of TS3. But we'll see. For the 5-disc set, though, I wouldn't doubt that will be the price at most places.

Any chance someone can scan a coupon? I emailed Coupons.com with my issue and got a weird workaround and a notice that they'd send me a physical coupon within two weeks-- after the sale is over. Ugh. PM me if you can.

Also, overstock.com has Cars 3D combo for $19.99. Move fast because it goes out of stock fairly quickly. Pops up for a couple of hours every day though as in stock.

Amazon.com's price has dropped by $5 to $26.99. After the $7 coupon code my final cost is $19.99 with free shipping.

Don't you have to buy another Pixar combo pack in order to get the $7 coupon?

Amazon had, very briefly, $7 coupons attached to Disney BR preorders for almost all their fall releases. They never last long.

And for those who are upset about being "forced" to buy 3D versions : You can easily eBay your 3D disc and get $12-$15 for it by itself without even a case. I'm trying to find a single Beauty and the Beast disc right now and the ones I'm seeing are going for even more than that.

Awesome. I got it with the original $7 coupon ($24.99 price after coupon) and was considering canceling b/c I didn't realize it was the 5 disc version. All I need is the blu-ray and the DVD. But at $19.99, I'll just keep my order.

I think there was an earlier coupon. This current $7 does seem to require the purchase of a second disc, and the pickings are rather slim. Even with the shipping, the Overstock deal may be preferable for some people.

I was thinking about buying the Overstock deal and using this rebate. But I read the fine print and its says:

"Store receipts must emanate from same state as consumer address."

So I'm thinking I wouldn't be able to use the Overstock deal or even Amazon, since the receipts would show a different state than where I'm from.

Re: Cars 2 coupon??

Best Buy will have the 5-disc Cars 2 3D on sale for $24.99 next week, so with the DMR coupon, that is $19.99, which is cheaper than the 2-disc set is going for (which in ineligible for the DMR coupon).

Plus you can add the Cars 2 Fruit Snacks coupon and Kimberly-Clark rebate above to make it cheaper.

Edit: There is another rebate. $10 rebate when you purchase $10 worth of Johnson & Johnson topical health products (Band-Aid, Neosporin, Cortaid):

Re: Cars 2 coupon??

Coolness on Amazon's Cars 2 3D BD price dropping to $26.99 making it $19.99.

The only reason this price drop happened is because BB will have it for $24.99. Amazon almost always prices theirs at the lowest in-store price of either BB or Target (it's rarely Walmart which has the lowest price any more and since they rarely advertise in the paper in my area I wouldn't even know what their price is) plus Amazon then adds on roughly 8% to compensate for the tax you would've paid if you bought it locally and rounds to the nearest $xx.99, so we end up with $26.99. I had been told earlier that BB's Cars 2 price would be $29.99 in which case Amazon's price would've stayed at $31.99.

So I guess BB is good for something... getting Amazon to lower their prices. :-)

^ Any BBY exclusives with the 5-disc (apart from the preorder SB case)? Target's got the snow globe - http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Cars-2...Blu-ray/30161/ and WM has the Finn McMissile diecast car (not really an exclusive since I'm pretty sure it is available elsewhere on its own and it is the 2-disc version). There's also lego shorts - http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Cars-2...Blu-ray/32205/ - which I don't know where or if it even is an exclusive. And lastly, but not important to me, WM has a version with an exclusive slipcover and a vudu digital copy (could be with the McMissile exclusive version).

I have in the past been successful when submitting rebates like this when the purchase was not made in my home state. Now, if I just simply got lucky or not I don't know, but IIRC it happened at least twice.
