From my past experience, whenever I've ordered 1c clearance deals from BB's web site and shipping was involved, they've ALWAYS been canceled, so it's best to keep your hopes very low. OTOH, when the clearance item is available for in-store pickup, you have a decent chance. I don't think the employees even look at the price most of the time when grabbing items for ISP. Sadly none of these items except the LOTR ring (which I don't care much about) were available for in-store pickup in my area.

Hey guys I work for best buy part time and tonight on our employee menu it had an update about items on the website for $.01 and these orders would NOT be honored and they are going to send out cancellation emails. It was worth a shot I suppose sorry.

thats why i am glad i was one of the first to spot this cause my store still showed it for instore pickup at that time,when i placed my order early last night.
Got my ready for pick up email about 930am this morning and
went and picked it up this afternoon on my lunch break.

BB canceled my ISP for the LOTR ring. I was devastated and cried all day. Not really. Actually, I didn't care much. I haven't seen this ring and don't know if it was something cool or something I would've given away or thrown in a drawer for a decade. What's funny is that I usually manage to get ISP items penny items (like strategy guides) if I can order before they show OOS, but this time it didn't work. However, they did ship out 2 silly penny items (I got free shipping)... a book and a Iphone skin which will be useful since I don't have an Iphone. It'll be interesting to see how many others ship vs. get canceled. The worst part is seeing a bunch of 1 cent transactions on your credit card. But 1 penny is 1 penny.
