Actually went up in price a little. It was £23 and change last week. Thought it was always this cheap though. But i would think all the SD material will be PAL region 2.

Good deal nonetheless, im still pondering on whether i should get this one now or wait out a lower US price during the holidays.

All SD material is 480i and absolutely identical to the domestic U.S. versions. There is nothing on this UK set that will not play on an American player. The only differences between the sets are packaging changes.
Good luck waiting, but Warner will never drop the price in the U.S. under $50 for years.

So 480i doesnt matter if its PAL or NTSC? I'm not dying to get this ASAP, so a few years is fine with me.

480i is an NTSC standard (PAL would be 576i) and is how the vast majority of Blu-ray SD content is encoded, due to the fact that (most) PAL players and HDTVs can handle NTSC content.

Does anyone know how long it took them to drop the retail price of the Batman Anthology? I think that can us an idea of when we'll see a lower price on the U.S. version of the Superman Anthology.

Actually, speaking of the Batman Anthology, I'm seeing it on sale for $26.99 at at Amazon right now.

Okay, so the sd material is NTSC and not PAL. That's what I was wanting to know.

Disc-wise, the Superman Set is like twice as big. Not only is there 1 more movie, but 2 additional 'cuts' of the film on different discs.

Didn't the Batman set also have an MSRP of $129.98 when it first came out? I'm pretty sure there will be a price drop, or even better, individual releases of each movie. Either way, patience will yield good results.
