I just got 3 CC Blu-rays for $45 + tax with free shipping.
Outside of Discover Cashback, is e bates the best one to use for bn.com at 6%? I'm using e-gift cards to pay for the entire order.

First response helps me choose Kiss or Night... I've seen (and owned - past tense - on DVD) both and like them pretty much equally. I'll grab the other in the fall sale. Yup, I'm bored. So, choose for me please...

Thanks!
if you are a member, you can get NotH for $14.50 ($25 - $2.50 10% - $8 off $40 or more). Plus it's a better film

I'd say it's very YMMV to get them to accept the $8 off coupon on NOTH. Usually, at the stores I've been to, the price that they adhere to is the 50% off after price. I tried arguing for a long time a few years ago on one of the $29.99 msrp dvd as I tried to use the old $5 off coupon. They insisted that the system showed the price as $15 and therefore I couldn't use the $5 off coupon.

I like to use this web site to keep track of where to find who is offering the highest cashback offers at any given time since it often changes. But at the moment e bates is best unless you have a Discover card.

Insignificance is my top want this time.

I got the two new Louis Malle and Diabolique for $54 shipped to CA using current coupon codes and the Buy 2 get 1 free sale.

Thanks for the feedback guys... But I'm going Kiss Me (on SBJ's reply) and the Malicks this go round...

bse: Days is one of my faves as well, dumped the DVD finally...

brizz: I love your math... But

Hammer99: I am now without a DVD copy of DoH orTRL... So, they take priority. I'm a noir guy too... I'll grab Night in the fall.

SethDLH might need some help though...

I'd get Repulsion and House out of those, but there really isn't anyway you could go wrong with any 2 out of that list.

The fine print is very clear about how these coupons should be accepted.

The NotH disc initially rings up @$49.99 then is discounted to $25.00. The coupon says that 8 off 40 is the price before all discounts including member discount which means both the 10% and the 50% or $49.99. That's why the 5 off 20 should've worked with the $29.99 titles.

Just ask for the manager and point out the fine print.

Re: Barnes and Noble 50% Off Criterion Sale 7/12

Just reserved all the titles I want. They'll hold them for me until 07/13/2011,

I'll buy them in-store unless the two promotions overlap. Figure I should cover all my bases though.

Reserved Videodrome, Kiss Me Deadly and Diabolique. I guess I'll just use one $5 off of $50 coupon.

Re: Barnes and Noble 50% Off Criterion Sale 7/12

Just put in my reservation for three titles and got the e-mail confirmations that they are waiting for me. Will pick up after the sale starts with my member card and $5 off $50 coupon.

There are at least three more titles I want, but one of them is High and Low which isn't out yet, so I'd rather attempt to buy in batches of three so the other coupon can hopefully be put to use as well.

Re: Barnes and Noble 50% Off Criterion Sale 7/12

Looks like it will pan out like this, unless the online sales overlap:

For $39.99 titles after 50% off + 10% off Member discount
- $5 off 50 coupon
x4 = ~$59 (~$14.75 a disc)

For $49.99 title after 50% off + 10% off Member discount
-$8 off 40+ blu-ray coupon
= ~$12 for Seven Samurai!

For a total of about $70 for 5 Blus!

You'd have to purchase 2 $39.99 titles to get the $5 off coupon, so your price would be $15.50 each plus tax.

Well, I plan on buying 4, as the above post already states, so I should be good, and a 75 cent difference doesn't get me shaking in my boots either.

Any non-member $5/50 coupons available?

Unlike the old $5 off 20 coupon and the new $8 off 40 coupon, there is very little ambiguity about how to figure the $50 amount. I think you are going to have to buy 3 standard Blurays before being able to get the $5 off. This is certainly how this coupon has been handled in the past even at the stores that allowed the $5 off 20 to apply liberally.
Agreed. There's zero chance of using the $5 off $50 coupon on an order less than $50 total. The B&N selling price has no factor in this one.

The $5 coupon is for a membership renewal but it works for any member. Keep an eye on the B&N coupon thread in the DVD section for non-member coupons. DVDtalk member/legend Lasermovies posts all available member and non-member coupons on the first page.

Yea, just checked it after you answered my question. Thanks again!
