Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy Blu-ray $24.99 @Amazon

Best price I've seen for BTTF Trilogy in a long time at amazon. Not sure how long this one will last. The price had been hovering around $39.99 for quite some time, so I would pick it up if you haven't already done so.

FWIW, $14.99 at Target starting this Sunday. Amazon will quite often price match Target, so I would wait until next week before ordering it at Amazon.

Thanks. Didn't see that add yet. I'm definitely waiting to get it for 14.99.

It's definitely $19.99 at Target here in STL. The regular shelf price is $19.99, and it doesn't appear to be a sale price. Will this be the new price?

$19.99 in Nashville (Donelson). There were about 5 copies left after I got mine. Got home and canceled my Amazon order, and I'll pricematch the ad on Sunday. Excellent deal!

Re: Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy Blu-ray $24.99 @Amazon

Here in Canada, this set is now available in a standard single-width Blu-ray case (presumably with a tray of some sort) inside a sturdy slipcover, but thanks to the ugly bilingual packaging, I'll be ordering it to my U.S. mailbox from the states at some point though I'm in no rush. Would anyone happen to know if any of these sale-priced Amazon/Target/wherever sets are in a regular case, or are they still in the thicker digi-pack thingy?

The shelf tag at Target was $19.99 when I stopped by, so I picked it up for a pricematch on Sunday. For $15, I can deal with the less than ideal packaging.

Re: Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy Blu-ray $24.99 @Amazon

Which one of these is the newer set that has the better case?

this one?
http://www.amazon.com/Back-Future-An...7583481&sr=1-1

or this one?
http://www.amazon.com/Back-Future-An...7583481&sr=1-2

The Target that I went to tonight had both and the first one with the blu strip on the top at $19.99, but the second one was $34.99. I used the price check scanner to confirm.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally check the DVD version? DVD edition is $34.99.

The second link you provided is for the DVD version. There doesn't seem to be an exact way to distinguish which version has the newer case by looking at the cover. My copy from Target was the old case.

Re: Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy Blu-ray $24.99 @Amazon

Somebody on another site said that on the back cover there's a set of numbers in the bottom right hand corner just above the "Dolby Digital" logo. They are 2016181 for the new packaging and 2014242 for the old packaging. I opened mine up since it had the 2016181 and it is the new packaging.

What's the new packaging? A standard Blu-ray case?

I thought my BF deal at Amazon for $24.99 was a great deal...if Target ends up putting this out at $14.99...well gosh darn! I typically wait for movies to come down over a few months, but $14.99 is a really great deal (if that is the case).

As far as I know the only difference is how the disc are stored:

Thanks. I'm going to pass, even at the great price of $14.99, because I don't want this foldout packaging (and I need to cut back on my spending, lol). I'm sure eventually they'll release this in a regular case in the United States and I'll pick it up then.

Whoa, your second link (new) says that the Digital Copy discs also contain a DVD copy of the film. That's pretty interesting since it isn't labeled on the packaging.

Unfortunately he was mistaken, here's the full thread. A couple posts down he corrects himself.

Re: Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy Blu-ray $24.99 @Amazon

I literally just paid almost $15 extra for this at Amazon two days before this thread started. Anyone know if it's possible to get a credit with them? And if so how to best approach it? Hell, I haven't even received it yet!

Edit: Never mind, I'll just return it and pick it up at Target.

All my local Targets are out of this. So, I'll stick with my Amazon order.

Re: Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy Blu-ray $24.99 @Amazon

Bought a copy last week at the Vancouver (WA) Plaza Target for $19.99. I brought in my receipt today, and they scanned it and listed $14.99 for the price and they gave me the new price without me having to return and repurchase the set. Went back to check the shelves (it was on an end cap originally), and they didn't have any more copies out. Shelf tag still said $19.99, though, and there was (so far) no evidence of the sale price actually being advertised. Originally the store did have both formats of the cases, and they had the same UPC.

Thanks for the heads up on both Target prices!
