Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

I was also able to get Rango using $5 mfg coupon and the $5 BB coupon. Also got Linclon Lawyer for $5 off using another $5 BB coupon - all on the same transcation. $22.99 + tax for both movies.

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

Got Rango no problem using both the BB and the other coupon. I've never been denied using the $5 off coupon and I have only used it (maybe 10 or so times) on sale items. This might have been the first time I've used it on a single-movie blu-ray. Everything else have been 3-packs (like the Bond discs) or the Sony 2-packs or the recently on sale TV sets. Except for the Bonds, everything has been on sale for $14.99 (before coupon).

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

Just cancelled my order for 'Boyz 'N' The Hood' on Amazon for 13.99.

Best Buy website has it for $14.99, so hopefully it'll be the same price in store and I can apply the coupon and pick it up for $9.99 plus tax on Tuesday

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

I too was able to use both the Rango coupon and the $5 off coupon, at the same Best Buy where I was rejected for just the coupon on a sale item. It all depends on the cashier (YCMV).

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

Used one $5 coupons in one transaction for:

1. Human Target DVD $10 out the door

and two for:

2. Iron Man BD $10 out the door
3. Grindhouse 2-disc BD collection $15 out the door.

For the first one, the guy mentioned, "oh no, this one is on sale... oh wait, the coupon took anyway." The one I used two in didn't even bat an eyelash.

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

Anyone have any luck using this coupon in Manhattan? Tried it in 2 different stores and both times the cashier would scan the coupon but $5 fails to be taken off.

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

I've used this coupon to get Taxi Driver and Dr. Strangelove for around $10 each. Today I managed to get Rango for $9.99+tax with the BB coupon and the Rango coupon. The cashier was like, "I'll try it and see if it'll work," and it did just fine.

Yep - used it at least 10 times, the latest on Friday for Rango (plus $5 Manufacturer coupon)

This has been the store on 5th every time

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

I walked into a couple Best Buys yesterday(one of the locations in my area has a weak Blu-Ray section) and zero issues using the coupon on sale items.

Picked up Lincoln Lawyer and In Company of Men for 12.99 and 11.99 each...

Also grabbed Rango for 9.99.

Excellent find. This may actually be worthy of a thread of its own. Wondering how many will miss this because they don't check here.

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

The next big test will be to see if I can get two coupons to work on Tuesday if I end up getting both "Limitless" and "Take Me Home Tonight"...

Is Best Buy going to even carry it? I just did some searches on their website and they don't even have it listed in the future releases. I would like it for 9.99 plus tax but I'm debating if I should go ahead and order it from Amazon for 13.99 as it is still a good deal. I would like to know if it is in Best Buy's plans to carry it.

Do they even carry this in the store or do you have to do a ship to store? You can't use the coupon when ordering online, can you?

Uhm, why don't you check the site? It will tell you if it's in stock at your BB, mine has it.

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

I checked and my store does not have it nor will they do a ship to store for it. I swore I would not buy this version because of the piss poor extras and would instead opt for the UK release once I get an all region Blu player. I guess this is a sign that I should continue on that road.

Re: Best Buy $5 off coupon

I picked up Metropolis for $10! Nice! I didn't even know it was on sale and was buying with the $5 coupon and a gift card. Immediately came here to post about it, but I see the word is out. (There's no signage and it was priced at $22.99.)

Picked up Metropolis and Million Dollar Baby for $9.99 each yesterday. I'm going to miss this coupon. I really hope Best Buy doesn't kill it on the expiration date.
