I asked about restocking and the employee said it was very possible.

I'd love to get some confirmation on price cuts.

The Master List has WATCHMEN on it, but doesn't delineate if it's the theatrical version or the Director's Cut. I picked up the only copy of the DC at my store and it had both discs in it, mint condition! My second fave comic book movie after X-MEN 2. Now if only someone would find a warehouse full of the The Ultimate Cut on Blu!

Does anyone know a good site to print blu ray cover art? I tried 9covers.com, but you have to be a paying member to view and print the gallery.

I don't want in on this deal if I have to have Blockbuster's crappy cases (yes I'm that picky).

Maybe Blockbusters around the country do it differently, but the Blockbuster by me puts blu rays in dvd cases and while the general artwork is the same, the cover itself is DVD size. For example:

Ugly

the blu is just a slip that is BEHIND the original artwork. slide it out and you can just take off the original blu cover from that blue background

I can't believe people are still making this mistake. It's only been mentioned in this thread once or twice already.

Can't believe people actually will make these purchases and can't take two seconds to check the inner part of the sleeve...yet they'll come on here, take a pic, post it, and complain...OY.

Re: Blockbuster 5 for $20 Sale (Previously Viewed)

Went back to a branch I hadn't been to since the May 17th presale. Bummed as they said they had restocked this Tuesday and everything was jampacked full then. Oh well. Went to one other branch but they didn't have the same titles marked down to $9.99.

Not on the main list which I saw and/or purchased:

The Social Network
Secretariat
My Soul to Take
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Due Date (rental)
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest
Chloe
Charlie St. Cloud
Hot Tub Time Machine
Date Night
The Kids are All Right
The Natural
The Lovely Bones
The Jane Austen Book Club
Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore
Broken Embraces

Some of them only had one copy left. Also, sometimes the same movie is labeled with different prices at the same store, so doesn't hurt to look at all copies.

I've been done buying since last week, but I just now got around to transferring everything to the new cases.

Yeah, the blue cover is behind the blu artwork as has been said, but don't fret as you are not the only one to make this mistake.

When i bought my first blu from there several months ago I thought it was part of the cover as well. I was actually going to take the cover out and cut it to fit into a standard blu case but to my surprise the blue cover and the blu cover were separate.

can you let us know which ones you purchased for 9.99 or less? A lot of those were 12.99+ during the presale and earlier this week (the ones in bold I remember being more than 9.99). Maybe this can confirm that they might have dropped the prices in the past couple of days?

I saw Dragon Tattoo on the first day of the sale, so at my store at least it's always been $9.99.

Re: Blockbuster 5 for $20 Sale (Previously Viewed)

They must have had an outdated price tag on it at the two stores I went to and the only one priced at 9.99 was the second one - played with fire.

I guess I'll be bringing a lot up to them and asking them to price them and get the 'oh it says it's so and so' comments from them.

I specifically grabbed Chloe for a price check during the pre-sale and it rang up as 12.99.

Hopefully, we get a confirmation on a price drop there.

All the ones I listed in post #364 were tagged last night at $9.99 (I had seen some of them last week on the presale for higher) . The ones I bought personally are the 2 "Girl" films and "The Kids are All Right" from the ones you bolded (as well as "My Soul To Take" and "Social Network" of the newer titles).

We have been discussing this on another blu forum and another person in Hawaii found great markdowns to $9.99 last night including "Resident Evil Afterlife", "How to Train your Dragon", "Up", "Toy Story 2" and "Toy Story 3". No one on the mainland has yet reported such titles. I'll be going out again today to look since I possibly just missed more price changes last night.

Amazing... I thought it was common knowledge that Blockbuster used the original art from the blu cases... now if they can just refrain from using that rubber cement I'd be happy

List updated. Not as many this time. New titles are in bold.

Removed Atonement.

Other titles I saw that aren't on the list

I'm going to hold off on adding these to the OP. It seems to be only a particular area that is getting these drops, so I'll wait for confirmation that it's everywhere.

Sleepyhead, are you in Hawaii as well?

Re: Blockbuster 5 for $20 Sale (Previously Viewed)

I can verify that Fantastic Mr. Fox was eligible because I almost bought it last Saturday. I'm in suburban Detroit.

Hoping that Sweeney Todd, Salt, Toy Story 3, Roxanne, Hot Tub Time Machine, and Date Night become eligible, too. Make it happen, Blockbuster! DO IT!!!!

I just got back from Blockbuster less than an hour ago and had them scan Date Night, HTTM, The Social Network, Secretariat, and others not on your list (Toy Story 3, Salt) and all were $12.99 and over. So for those wondering, no, none of these would qualify for the $5 for $20 sale.

He also told me this sale ends next week. Anyone else hear the same thing?
