Re: Trade and Save at Best Buy

Anyone know if they take rental copies with stickers?

I have a few rental DVDs that have a sticker attached to the DVD around the center. So just wondering if they take those or not.

Also on a related noted, do they take "Rental Exclusives". I have Pink Panther 2 and on the cover it has that on the cover. Do they take those?

Re: Trade and Save at Best Buy

Take them in and see what they say. No harm in asking. I would take some "regular" DVD's in just in case they reject those.

I might be alone on this, but I have about 30 DVD's that I can use for trade in. I was about to send some in to Amazon for $.25 each when this deal from BB popped. I've already used 10, and am hoping BB adds some more titles to the trade-in list next week.

Quick & the Dead is now $9.99 at Bestbuy.com, but now $5.99 on Amazon.com - will Best Buy pricematch them? (I ask because I've never tried...)

Re: Trade and Save at Best Buy

I did this deal last weekend..... passed by Big Lots to get those DVD 3-packs for $3 and promptly traded them in (they were mostly Sports titles). Cashier remarked that "these are still sealed!". The only minor problem I had was that she said that I could only do the trade-in promo for those titles that had the sticker on them, upon which I promptly whipped out my Best Buy printout of eligible titles and then after she confirmed the titles everything went smoothly.

Hmm...seems Dollar Tree has some of those shitty DVDs 4/$1. I'm gonna have to see if they'll take them...

Re: Trade and Save at Best Buy

So I managed to do this deal today at a different store near my work.

I traded in King of California, Witless Protection, and March of the Penguins. All that crap I got for free from my neighbor and it was sitting in the closet gathering dust.

I picked up Clash of the Titans, Sherlock Holmes and The Kingdom. Grand total= $26.70 after tax.

$15 worth of credit for 3 items that I would have gotten 75 cents for on Amazon was pretty sweet.

Quite ironic, considering the title in question ...

Re: Trade and Save at Best Buy

I was able to use BB Promo copies at two different Best Buy stores this weekend. The clerks who accepted them didn't raise any objections.

Re: Trade and Save at Best Buy

Reporting back...I traded the Dollar Tree DVDs successfully, and the cashier even gave me my trade-in receipt and $5 off coupons back to use again...odd.

Re: Trade and Save at Best Buy

My apologies if this was posted already, but from all the signage I saw today it appears that this ends Saturday.

Re: Trade and Save at Best Buy

I've got 2 coupons left, and would hate for them to go unused. I may grab Mr & Mrs Smith, since there's also a Coupons.com $3 off coupon. But what else? Hmm...

Re: Trade and Save at Best Buy

I've got 2 coupons left as well, but after picking up 102 Blu-rays from Blockbuster over the past two weeks at an average $2 ea., suddenly looking at $10-$15 for a single title doesn't appeal much. I also picked up a slew of eligible titles for a buck. I'm leaning toward getting The Quick and the Dead and Hot Tub Time Machine for a combined $15 to burn off my final coupons.

Re: Trade and Save at Best Buy

My BB didn't have what I really wanted so had to settle on Twister and Independence Day for $20 total.

I traded in Transmorphers (which I got from Dollar Tree for a buck) and a very old Pan & Scan version of The Bodyguard in a snapper.

Re: Trade and Save at Best Buy

Best Buy is running this promotion again. But what I wanted to know from you guys who have done this promo in the past is what is the expiration date on the coupons you recieved, if any?
