If you already clipped the coupon and want to place an order instead for the Lion King deal, you can email customer service. I explained the situation (that I had already used the coupon on Dumbo and wanted to cancel the order to order it with TLK) and they gave me an $8 credit to order it that way.

Through amazon chat I directed them to the order I already had for Lion King and they adjusted the price for me.

For those of us who ordered before the price drop, should we expect to see an adjustment or do we have to wait until release day for the price protection policy to kick in?

:rolleyes: It's an opinion and I qualified it prior to the complaint. What more do you want?

THAT was what I was getting at. Dumbo is a catalog title at best. It's never been on par with a Snow White, Cinderella, Lady & the Tramp or Lion King. It shouldn't garner the same SRP just because of the company it keeps.

I went ahead and ordered both though to get the discount on Lion King. I would pay $30 for that one, so that makes Dumbo $10. ;) The price it should be after coupons. Hopefully it will dip to $19.99 closer to release.

Matthew Chmiel, Amazon doesn't always PM the best store deals. Sometimes they are a dollar or two higher (I don't know if it's to account for sales tax or that they consider TRU less of a "real" competitor than Target, Best Buy, or Walmart). All I know is I'd be surprised if Amazon drops Dumbo from $21.99 to $19.99.

Peep, Amazon is always supposed to credit you the price reductions with their preorder guarantee. For me they usually do, but I know people have said (and maybe it happened to me once or twice... I don't remember) that sometimes they don't. So just keep an eye on it and talk to them if they don't.

I thought The Lion King also had a $8 coupon applied or did I get a $8 promo applied for buying both together. My final cost for just The Lion King BD will be $20.74 I guess. Hoping the retail price drops again before it streets. What happens if I cancel it after Dumbo ships? I just realized I also ordered The Lion King 3D version also. I also am getting Spooky Buddies BD for $11.99.

The $3.75 is probable the prorated $8 promotion for preordering TLK with Dumbo. The Lion King only had a coupon for the 3D version.
