No, it's not too late because when I get home, I wipe the stuff down with Clorox anti-bacterial wipes, and then wash my own hands. You might think it is overkill, but I've seen people sneeze into their hands and then grab something off the shelf. Or just not cover their mouth when they sneeze. It's pretty gross. What's worse is seeing at the grocery store. So, you just don't know what kind of germs you are bringing into your home. A few minutes of wiping the stuff down is worth not getting sick.

I'm not a germiphobe like Howie Mandel; I'm just overly cautious. But, I haven't been sick (like the flu or cold) since at least 2007.
Overly cautious is opening a bathroom door with your foot or elbow. Wiping down DVDs is really silly unless you lick the cases while you watch it. Your common germs that cause sickness and infection must enter through an orafice. Just wash your hands before/after you touch any of the said orafices and you should be fine.

But whatever, I set at least two alarms for when I have to wake up early. To each his own.

I didn't see any of them over here on the Western Slope either. Must be a regional thing.

Re: TARGET Blu-ray bargains

I went today and got Snow White and Pinocchio, asked the guy working there about the lack of slip covers on ALL releases - he said the warehouse throws them away before they ship to them now because people were complaining that they were damaged by the cases. He said that a lot of people bitch about the slip covers not being sold with the movies now....what a waste.

Jesus f'ing Christ, this is EXACTLY why the studios should SHRINKWRAP the fucking things! If they were shrinkwrapped, stores couldn't ruin them with price tags or throw them out! I've complained to Di$ney about this, I've passed up MANY impulse buys because of slipcovers being in bad shape, so why the fuck do they keep doing this??? Has anyone purposely bought a disc specifically because it came with a damaged cover?

Sony said a while ago they were going to stop using these because they wanted to be more 'environmentally responsible', but their new "Stand by Me" Blu-Ray has one!

Re: TARGET Blu-ray bargains

If someone sees a "Gun In Betty Lou's Handbag" for $5, I would appreciate it....no where to be found locally. I can make it worth your while.

Re: TARGET Blu-ray bargains

I noticed the local Target had the original 5 (Another Stakeout, Big Business, Gross Anatomy, Straight Talk, and America's National Treasures) all on sale through 4/23 for $3.99.

The thing that kills me are those anti-theft things with metal cables that fuck up boxed sets beyond belief.

Re: TARGET Blu-ray bargains

Well that too- if they put something on an expensive box set that eats into the thing, don't expect anyone to pay full price for it. If anything, it'll just be a challenge for someone to try and steal.

Re: TARGET Blu-ray bargains

I saw these at ONE Target here, but don't remember which one. I figured they'd pop up everywhere by now, but obviously they haven't. For $3.99, I'd get some, if I can find them...

They can search by title on their handheld device and print you out a raincheck.

Re: TARGET Blu-ray bargains

The Fast & the Furious films are $8.99. Instead of the $13 shelf price. I got the first one and the fourth film.
It's an unadvertised sale, so don't know how long the sale lasts.

Re: TARGET Blu-ray bargains

So are the Mill Creek Blu-Rays' picture quality pretty good or is the quality pretty much like a DVD?

Probably because the $8.99 deal was last week.

Look up a few posts. There was some uncertainty as to when the (unadvertised?) sale ended.

Re: TARGET Blu-ray bargains

I know there was uncertainty, and I guess my post was a little snarky, but I was just letting blucadet know when he/she missed out on the deal.
