I ended up ordering all three of these digibooks over the weekend, at that price. They're out for delivery today along with three other BDs from amazon.

Thanks OP!

I wonder if this is a universal price drop/sale?

I only mention that because my local Best Buy had a cardboard display setup with all the Digibooks @ $19.99

Yeah I ended getting se7en at bestbuy. I have to pay tax with amazon anyway & couldn't find anything to go over $25. Also I had some gift certificate for bestbuy so it was much better for me.

Bestbuy also had matrix & 300 digibook.

The digibooks at BB were 19.99? There was no indication of cost on the display I saw in Burbank so I thought they were just on display. If Batman, Shawshank, Poltergeist and Bonnie & Clyde are 19.99, I'll be buying them. I've been waiting for a decent price on the books. I'm just not paying over $20 for the books when the dvd version are selling for $10 or so.

I'd consider Exorcist if it dropped to $14.99. I'll probably just wait until the inevitable non-Digibook edition hits $9.99 though. I keep hoping King Kong drops as well.

I don't think they are all on sale, just the ones on the display.

I remember seeing:

The Exorcist
The Matrix
300
Seven

Ordered from Amazon yesterday. 10-11 day wait right now. Oh well, I have the 10 Commandments coming to keep me occupied.

Other digibooks in the marketplace, for those interested:

Batman is under $21 shipped
Matrix is under $19 shipped

EDIT: ...and amazon themselves have Dr. Strangelove for $13.99.

The only reason I went ahead and got the digibook version of The Exorcist is out of fear that an eventual non-digibook release would not include the both cuts. Not sure if there have been any examples of non-digibooks paring down disc content, but I figured what the hell.

The regular edition of How the West Was Won doesn't include the "SmileBox" version.

The digibook version of Goodfellas contains a documentary on gangsters that is not included with the non-digi release. However, that documentary is on one of the Warner Gangster box sets so if you have those the only thing the digi version of Goodfellas offers is the book.

There is one. I've seenit at walmart it only has the newer cut not the original cut.

The Goodfellas Digibook came out a few years after the regular Blu-ray release of the film.

Were there two posts about this?

This was the first time I had heard of it. The other post I've seen regarding the Digibooks was the warning about Se7en books missing discs.

Right. I forgot about that. Still, maybe the info on the differences will help those looking deciding between the 2 versions.
