Lord of the Rings Extended Editions up on Amazon
 

Received an email from Amazon, but it doesn't come up when searching for it. Sale price of $83.99 for the entire thing from $118. Release date says sometime in 2011/2012. The features are listing exactly what the DVD extendeds have, so I don't think they know yet. Looks like they are doing what they did for Tangled and just getting it up online to generate early sales.

I pre-ordered now and will wait for the price to drop more or find it someplace else cheaper.

This will undoubtedly become cheaper, but it's nice to see a picture of the packaging...

That price better come the hell on down. I paid $25 ea. on release week for all of the EEs on DVD.

$84 for the trilogy, or basically $28 per film on blu-ray doesn't seem that much different then the $25 per film for DVD that you paid. I'd pay that for the films if I needed to, but I suspect we will see some deals at some point that put the films in the high-teens to low 20's each.

I love how the star wars set on blu is practically the same price yea it has more films. Damn new line trying to milk us for every cent!
