Re: Facebook: Criterion to release 50% off code on Facebook

Just received my order of Fish Tank, Senso & The Double Life Of Veronique, but I didn't notice until after I opened them that the cases had small indention damage and the printed covers suffered some minor damage. That type of stuff drives me crazy. Question is do I contact Mulvaney for new cases and art or use the return slip to get an exchange?

Re: Facebook: Criterion to release 50% off code on Facebook

This is my first order with them so I have some questions:

My order has been marked as completed since Friday, but there is no tracking number. Also, I don't have an email saying it has shipped. Does that mean it hasn't shipped yet? I have not yet received anything.

My copies of Senso and Sweet Smell of Success were a bit dinged up as well but it's probably too nitpicky, as well as being too much of a hassle, to complain or request replacements.

My order of non-pre-orders arrived in pristine condition.

I don't like hearing these stories of things being banged up seeing as I ordered Videodrome, which has an elaborate slipcover. Are they just sending them in envelopes?

Mine was sent with 5 movies bundled tightly to a cardboard backing and wrapped in plastic all around. That was then placed inside of a box that was probably too large for the bundle, but at least had a little bit of bubble wrap to cushion it. I was worried when I heard how much the bundle was shifting inside the box. But, once I saw the nearly vacuum-sealed bundle of all the movies wrapped together, I knew they'd be fine. And, they were.

They packaged it like Amazon does. Mine are fine.

I ordered three Blu-ray titles, and the case for one of them was cracked in more than one place at the bottom. I contacted the orders e-mail address last evening, and I'm waiting for a response.

Re: Facebook: Criterion to release 50% off code on Facebook

So one of my Bluray's wasn't in the package and I got an email from Criterion saying that it was backordered and they would send to me (Amarcord Bluray).

What I'm really disappointed in is that Bottle Rocket showed up in their cheap cardboard case. I thought they had phased those out by now and were selling the hard case edition. Definitely really disappointed on that because I figured if I ordered from Criterion I would get the newest print with the hard case.

Send them an email, they'll probably ship you a replacement case.

Has anyone who pre-ordered The Mikado received a shipping notice?

For folks who have had issues, my copy of RED DESERT was damaged during shipping -- cracked case, torn art. I emailed [email protected] and explained. They got back to me within 2 biz days and immediately shipped out a replacement case and cover at no cost, and told me not to worry about sending anything back. An excellent CS experience for me.

Me too! I ordered two copies of Videodrome (one for me and one for a friend). Both came smashed to hell. They sent me replacement cases and slipcovers. Now if only they'd ship things more safely in the first place!

Re: Facebook: Criterion to release 50% off code on Facebook

Not unexpected, but none of the titles I ordered will ship until the last one is released. Looks like I'll have to wait until late May for Blow Out.

Still it's a great deal.
