Nope, it's 30 days. And as a Silver Member you have a 45 day return period essentially giving you ample time to get a good deal on most movies or games.

The Scott Pilgrim for $14 is a deal, but since I paid the $$$ to see it in the theater I've got patience to wait for a lower price.

Here's hoping Amazon PM's. If they do Let Me In and Scott Pilgrim will be mine. If not, I probably won't buy it from Bestbuy because I've got boatloads of credit at Amazon.

Interesting, I did not know this. I'll have to see if I own any other Vudu digital copies. I had no idea PS3 was an option...

Wouldn't you rather watch the blu-ray on the PS3?

Re: Best Buy Ad for February 20 - 26, 2011

I have a $30 GC from Target that I got for X-mas. I never shop outside of the computer anymore, so I didn't think I would ever use the giftcard.
Anyway, if I pricematch BB's Megamind price at Target and then next week pricematch at Target who ever has the cheapest Bambi, (assuming someone will have it for $19.99) as well as using the Disney $10 off coupon for Bambi, I will be able to acquire both films for $2.78 after tax.

What?

It's just a digital copy, and it can be watched on pc too. If I ever sell the movie then I will still have a copy of it this way.

Although I agree with you, I like to keep some videos on my PS3 that I can start playing on a whim as "background noise" while I'm reading the paper or working on projects. I'm not going to take the time to pop in a BD unless I'm really going to watch it... Plus, this is just an excuse for me to FINALLY have a use for those stupid digital copies, since I never, ever, use em...

Re: Best Buy Ad for February 20 - 26, 2011

As I recall, BB had Salt BD for $13.99 in its ad last week. Of course it wasn't until Saturday night after that ad expired that I finally opened Easy A to find a $5 off coupon which is good on several titles... the only one of which I don't already have and would consider buying is Salt.

According to BB online, Salt BD is still $13.99, but as my BB stores won't take mfg. coupons on sale items (yes, it's a ridiculous policy) I could only get it at Target or Walmart with the $5 off coupon. The problem is Salt is not listed in any of the ads this week, and I doubt Target or Walmart will PM a printout of BB's web site.

Did I miss Salt BD for $13.99 in any of this week's printed ads or am I out of luck (thanks to being unable to use the coupon and buy it at BB)? If so, I hope it'll be advertised on sale somewhere before the coupon expires.

Re: Best Buy Ad for February 20 - 26, 2011

What version of Scott Pilgrim was it supposed to be for $13.99?

For the 2nd week in a row, I had trouble finding the movie (last week it was Inception). It in with the rest of the movies and no sale tag. The only one they had was the 3-disc set, BD, DVD + digital copy. Like last week I took to customer service where they verified the $13.99 price. So I grabbed it $15.XX otd...

I don't know if the BB by me just doesn't know what it's doing, knows there are different versions or what. I'm thrilled to get the digital copies. I travel a lot and love being easily able to get on my computer and iPhone.

Re: Best Buy Ad for February 20 - 26, 2011

There is typically only 1 version of a film.

The bonus DVD/DC (and slip cover) is with the 1st pressing. Future pressing remove the DVD/DC (either 1 or 2 discs) and slip cover. They both share the same SKU. This is true for 9 out of 10 New Day and Dates. There are some exceptions.

If you have the DVD/DC set, take off the slip cover. Look at the artwork. Rarely does it mention the bonus DVD/DC as the artwork will (eventually) be used for the 1 disc set so they don't have to create new artwork.

Inception had a special 1 Disc edition produced just for Best Buy. Amazon was matching the 1 disc price for the 2 Disc set (DVD/DC + 2nd BD).

I would have bought Megamind if they had done a day and date 3D bluray but since DW seems only want to make their 3D titles availble if you buy a new samsung 3D tv, I will hold off waiting till it one day gets a wide release. Thanks DW for saving me money this week once again.

Keep waiting. Monsters vs. Aliens is off it's 1 year excl. aggreement and still no signs of it coming to retail. DW/Paramount pretty much wrote off 3D.

Ended up picking up Scott Pilgrim and Let Me In from Amazon because I'm lazy and because I don't want to pay tax.

Did instore pickup for Scott Pilgrim, and mine did have a slip cover. We watched it last night, awesome movie. Much better than I expected. All classic video game fanboys should be required to watch this movie at least once.
