Back to the Future Trilogy Blu Ray Set $29 shipped

Amazon.co.uk just dropped their price on the 25th anniversary Back to the Future Trilogy Blu Ray set. It can now be had for $29 shipped.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Back-Future-...6758407&sr=1-1

The discs are not region locked and can be played on any region blu ray player. The only difference between this set and the U.S. one is that the U.S. one has digital copies and the U.K. one does not. (Also, the U.K. one has superior packaging)

Costing is like so:

Cost before VAT discount £17.99
Cost after VAT discount £14.99
Total cost including shipping £18.07 = around $29 U.S./Canadian

If you have yet to pick up this set through one of the many sales, I'd think this would be your best chance, as it won't get any cheaper than this for awhile.

Get it while it lasts!

If anyone wants to know how to properly remove the blu-ray discs from the US packaging, watch this video.

I have no idea what that has to do with this deal. I'm pretty sure the packaging is different for the UK version.

Thanks for the post OP, I'm still thinking about it.

It has to do with the statement about the U.K. version having superior packaging. The U.S. packaging is fine as long as you know how to properly remove the disc.

If you need to possess special knowledge of how to remove the damned discs, then the packaging is indeed inferior.

As someone who owns the UK release (as part of the Collector's Tin Edition) I can attest to the packaging being superior to the US release. You not only get disc art, but a nice fold out tray that is the perfect size so as to prevent the set from being overbearing when wanting to take a disc out. The hubs make the discs easier to remove as well -- which is much more convenient. I also like the fact that there are no digital copies, if only because I never use them.

For the price I'd consider this UK edition of the Back to the Future Trilogy an excellent deal.

Sorry about going OT, but does anyone know if Universal offered a swap-out for those of us unhappy with the original packaging?

People have asked, they've been told no.
