Re: Bluray deals at Blockbuster

Went into one of the few remaining BB in my area that isn't closed yet and today they started 2 for $15 on all $9.99 or below PPV Blu-rays. It wasn't posted yet but rang up correctly at the register.....

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Gods and Generals
Into the Wild
The Truman Show
Halloween II (remake)
Friday the 13th (orig)
Land of the Dead
Death Proof

Re: Bluray deals at Blockbuster

Paramount has put a lot of DVD and Blu-rays out of print.
Like I said, they must REALLY not want to sell anything.

that's their thing. they don't think catalog titles are selling well enough so they're not even bothering.. not worth the effort type of thing

Hot Rod is less than 5 years old though. And have you seen how much some of their out-of-print titles have been going for on Ebay?

Re: Bluray deals at Blockbuster

In regards to the 2 for $15 deal, would stores be able to price adjust if one purchased titles within the past 30 days?

I can confirm Moon and Funny People were both $9.99. I'll also add:

Bruno
Deliverance
Mean Girls

..........................................

I picked up No Country for Old Men and Bruno for $15 and also grabbed Rescue Dawn for $7.

What are you guys doing for blu-ray cases? Are you just leaving them in the rental cases or have you found a place that has empty cases for cheap?

Re: Bluray deals at Blockbuster

Thanks! Would you recommend the premium or viva elite?

You don't happen to know of any free shipping codes?

According to my order history, I ordered the Elite. And I'm very happy with them.

I've never seen a free shipping code and I've looked for one.

Re: Bluray deals at Blockbuster

I'd like to try some of those 3 disc cases, but I dont want to have to order 25 of them. I'll probably try some of the two-disc cases, though.

I considered that too but as long as Blockbuster continues to carry and then clear out BDs I'll probably have a need. And if BB closes there's even more of an opportunity to use them...

What I did is used the 3-disc cases to combine some of my 2-disc dvds with special features and the barebones blu-ray version.

Re: Bluray deals at Blockbuster

For anyone in upstate SC: I found a copy of Zodiac at the Greer store. Hit up two locations tonight, and while I did see the 2 for 15.00 sale, I also saw that they bumped some of the 9.99 titles back up to 12.99. Typical. But, there are still alot of great titles at the 9.99 price point, so it's DEF worth checking out.

Re: Bluray deals at Blockbuster

If anyone needs an extra movie for the 2 for $15 deal, I would love to have Zodiac 2 disc Blu. I am willing to pay first class or media mail shipping, paypal fees, etc. My local Blockbuster stores do not have it. Send me a private message.

Thanks again. I went with the 2-disc Viva Elite. It came out to just under $17 shipped for 25 cases.
