I picked up Die Another Day (Halle Berry...drool) for $6.99. Fun, "light" Bond. I wouldn't have paid the $16.00 going price for it now. $7.00 used, I'm pleased.

They had Dr. No and From Russia With Love for $9.99 each. But better movies, I'd probably rather pick up new, traditional on a sale...or in a Bond Collection.

Really wanted Batman Returns, but couldn't find.

Re: Bluray deals at Blockbuster

Bought Summit Entertainment's The Ghost Writer and Letters to Juliette. Best thing about the Blockbuster BDs for these two are that they're both one-sided with the movie on one side and the cover art on the other side. They do come with Special Features. If you bought these two at a store or Amazon, they're only available in a Blu-ray/DVD combo flipper.

Can't say the same thing for Twilight Saga: Eclipse Blu-ray/DVD combo flipper. Since Summit has a BD with movie only and no Special Features, that's what Blockbuster has.

How much were they? Last I checked, "The Ghost Writer" was $16.99.

Picked up Sleeping Beauty (one disc) for $16.99. Another OOP title that I saw was The Road Warrior ($9.99).

It still is. But for the Blu-ray only, it was worth it.

My local Blockbusters have no copies of Hot Rod, super lame! If anyone manages to snag an extra copy, I'd be willing to take it off your hands!

I think we're screwed, and I've had no luck in trading threads either.

Dang, I almost forgot! I do want to re-iterate and we do in the video as well, that at most of the Ballbusters the Blurays are priced wrong. If it's 12.99, it's highly likely that it's 9.99, etc...

Here's the link, I hauled in some awesome titles...

Re: Bluray deals at Blockbuster

When I see people posting that the used BDs at Blockbuster are under $5, then I may try to swing by. Until then I can't get too excited over the prices for used BDs, especially when I already own much of the old stuff (catalog titles) on DVD.

And regarding trading threads, the first Warner DVD sale at Big Lots I had a great experience doing trades. The second time around Christmas for the Paramount DVD sale I wasn't able to arrange any trades because I guess I waited too long and everybody already had everything they wanted (except for me). I don't know if I'll ever try trading again.

My two local Blockbuster's both closed yesterday. Final sale prices were outrageous, IMHO: $7 All Blu-ray's, $7 to $10 new release DVDs, $2 catalog DVD's, $5 games. They had hardly anything left too. I was in disbelief. When Hollywood Video was closing I scored tons of .50 cent movies and Blu-ray's were $2.
