What did you do over at the "unofficial" site, complain about Blu-ray in any way? Like a sticker that was too sticky or a movie that had a fingerprint on the disc? That'll do it! Can't piss off the BDA like that.

Their mods are complete assholes from top to bottom. I've been permanently banned from there for continually (and rightfully) disagreeing with one of the mods, and the reason listed for me being banned is "douche."

The 3D in the theater just wasnt that impressive. I may still get that version if all of the extras are present, but if they cut some things out, I'll get the regular version.

I agree, I saw it in the theatre and the 3D effects weren't that good. I can't pick up the 3D because I'm not going to spend unnecessary money to pick up a 3D HDTV and 3D Blu-Ray player. I just bought a 2nd BD Player for about $90 and a 2nd HDTV for about $300 over the Holidays and I'm happy with them. I can live with seeing Saw in 2D.

I've been a member here for 5 years. In that time, I've never been suspended, banned, or even warned by a mod.

I've been a member at blu-ray.com for 1 year. In that time, I've been warned 6-7 times (they give yellow and red cards, just like soccer) and suspended/banned twice. I don't get my login privileges over there until 2/15/11. Whatever. -rolleyes-

I am who I am. My behavior here is identical to my behavior over there. You can figure the rest out as to what the problem is for yourself. ;)

Thanks for the update.

Decisions on where to spend my $10 rewards on... Secretariat or Red.

It will be an easier decision if Disney has a coupon for Secretariat. I wonder when they will release that. Too bad I did not jump when Amazon had the $8 instant coupon offer. :(

Will pick up Red (might save the $2 since I have no need for the comic book unless it also has some special cover) and Saw: The Final Chapter to round out the Saw collection, although even then I might wait since Lionsgate drops their prices fairly quickly. Might be down to $12.99 within a month (like The Expendables).

For those interested in Shrek, don't forget the $5 coupon. That will make it $12.99. I'd be tempted, if I had the money, but I hate that you can only get the first 2 Shreks if you buy the complete set, so buying Shrek 4 individually seems like a waste, at this point. I found Shrek 3 & 4 at Hastings over the weekend and could have gotten both for about $13, but passed on them for the same reason. But I doubt any of those had the DVD included (though I could be wrong). That's a huge plus for people who have kids.

Everytime anyone says something about Red, I see Rad, and I get all pumped up thinking about Cru Jones vs Bart Taylor at Hell Track in High-Definition glory.
