This shouldn't be shocking; There are very few OT haters while there are plenty of PT haters. Most people buying the PT would naturally get the OT as well. I am sure that a huge majority of the PT sets sold are being sold to collectors, completionists.

That's pretty obvious. I'm sure no one finds it shocking.

Oh shit lol. Damn I almost hope the UK version doesn't drop too much, cause I definitely want a US release for these movies...

Nope. It was already confirmed that these will be the DVD editions. The only one that might be different is TPM with the CGI Yoda.

I guarantee these will include the CGI Yoda. The Star Wars in Concert film footage did. But it wouldn't surprise me if there were a few more "improvements" that Lucas made to the films, especially the prequels, since those never received the "special edition" treatment...

It's a quick, fascinating read, and just another glimpse into the very short-sighted mind of George Lucas.
I wouldn't call it "quick", but it was very fascinating. Thanks for the link. Here it is, linkified:

No, it was the US version and I did mention some finagling was involved.
Spoiler:
$14.99 - LOTM blu
$70.49 - Aliens blu
- $20.00 - Best Value savings
----------
$65.48 - Total
- $09.01 - Gold Box refund
- $00.50 - Price guarantee
- $16.00 - Sold LOTM blu (after fees)
----------
$39.97 - Total for USA Alien blu-ray set. ($34.97 if you count the fact that I used that groupon deal where you could buy a $10 Amazon GC for $5).

I picked up the magnoliafan versions of SW episode 1 and 2, and apparently Jar Jar isn't so offensive if you dub his vocals (to sound like an alien) and sub his meanings. I didn't particularly agree with the text magnoliafan wrote for this subs but it was far more innocuous in comparison.

Mine was $75.68 AFTER tax... I used R7V9J9N (20% off but requires a Visa)... I just wish I could have used my B&N MC to save another 5%

Nice, got it for $71.67 (no tax) on BN.com. I guess I'll hang onto the Amazon pre-order should they somehow drop it lower before September.

My thoughts exactly... Delaware doesn't have a B&N?

Same price here (no tax in OR). Some questions:

1. Does B&N automatically update your order if their price drops before shipment?

2. Has anyone ever seen a >20% coupon from B&N for non-members?

3. If a larger discount coupon shows up for members, I know I can place a new order with a free 2-month trial membership. Once the order is in place, can I cancel my trial membership but keep the order price intact?

I love what Barnes and Noble says when the set will ship: "Special Order: Ships 3-5 weeks"

Re: Star Wars The Complete Saga Blu-Ray for $89.99 @ Amazon

Considering I got my BN gift cards for half price from the recent Mastercard OO deals, and considering that the coupon still worked even with a gift card only payment, I picked up the complete set for about $38 including tax. I do wonder what this will sell for within a month or two of release, though.

After all the mess with the recent low price items from b&N being canceled for a lot of members, (me included) i definately wouldnt trust placing a order with them for item like this.
