A tad better? Interesting. I thought Band of Brothers was tremendous. I didn't feel the same way about The Pacific and neither did my wife. As the price is practically identical for both (a 10 year old mini-series versus a 1 year-old miniseries) - that should tell you something much more valuable than just my opinion.

+1. Though to be honest, I think I had such high expectations for the The Pacific that I was bound to be let down, and if I watched it all the way through again knowing what I know about it, I bet I'd like it better the second time. But Band of Brothers is just phenomenal.

Well, the exclusive is really just that. It is about a 20 minute documentary on a separate disc with a case. If you are not interested in that then just get it from Amazon and save yourself a couple of more dollars if they don't charge tax where you live. I wasn't going to pick it up but then I knew I would want to watch it and didn't want to regret passing up the deal.

my copy of pacific from amazon (ordered on tuesday) hasn't even shipped yet... oh well kind of busy to watch right now anyway
