Incredible Hulk - Missing digital copy, which came in a white sleeve, but it's expired anyway.
Office Space - Perfect.
Robocop - Perfect.
Spider-man - Promo version. I called and they'll replace it, provided I return it to them at their cost. Not great, but good enough. Worse comes to worse, I'll keep this promo copy since it was only $2.98.

Everything but the case is fine. Someone decided to slash it diagonally from corner to corner

I've received 9 games and 2 DVDs so far (from 7 packages). Two of the games have scratched dics, but the rest look almost brand new (discs, cases, manuals). I haven't tested them out yet though.

Boy, GoHastings really really sucks for CD fulfillment.

I bought several 2CD issues that were issued as two separate jewel cased single CDs: A&M Classic series Carpenters, Righteous Brother comp on Rhino, etc. etc...

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM has shipped as only one of the two CDs (in each case, CD2, actually). EVERY ONE, FROM EVERY STORE THAT SHIPPED THEM!! In no case did they properly ship me the 2CD set. So somewhere they have all the CD1s now.

What kind of cockamamie inventory system do they have?

(I won't go into the huge variations in condition, from sealed promos to scratched and resurfaced discs...)

Came home to find 5 envelopes waiting from today and 2 from over the weekend:

Splice - Good case, couple of disc fingerprints
The Prestige - Good case, a few light fingerprints
Brothers - Slight bite on case, disc clean
2010: The Year We Make Contact - extra sticker on case back, disc clean
Michael Moore Hates America (DVD) - Rental case, disc pristine
Guitar Hero: Smash Hits - Xbox 360 - Original case, instructions, very light disc wear
Band Hero - Xbox 360 - Original case, instructions, pristine disc

The problem child was Toy Story 3 (2-disc) PPV - They sent a single-disc, feature only copy. Grrrr. Sent a complaint email, but it was after hours. Stay tuned for more.

Sorry, it was "Beethoven's 4th". I kind of blame the buyer for ordering such a crappy movie, but it was still technically GoHasting's fault.

The "Previously Viewed" movies are almost always going to be former rentals. If the rental version was a "feature only" copy, that's usually what you'll get and sometimes in a standard DVD Amaray. If you want the retail version in the blu ray case, you need to make sure you purchase the "used" copy. I've never ordered CDs from them but it sounds like that's a real crap shoot.

They may finally be wising up on their shipping. I had about 8 movies in one envelope yesterday and had about 5 books in a box a few days ago. Prior to that, I think I once had two items ship together, and that was the max.

maybe if the same store has two or more items they ship them in the same package, but if you order 5 things and they each come from a different store thats why they ship seperate.

I didn't specify, but TS3 came in BD case and while I'm aware of "rental edition" discs - bought (500) Days of Summer from a closing Hollywood that was extras-free and in this sale, I went for the 1-disc version of 2012 - the listing clearly said "2 Discs", so I'm going to bitch until I get it. I don't need/want the DVD and Digital copies, so that's why I went for the 2 Disc option.

Today's post brought Inception (all three discs and the download code) and Cats and Dogs (clean all around). My past dealings with GoHastings have gone well; this is the first snag I've had.

Got all 3 of my BR's on one envelope. All were in good condition and the right versions. 1 even had a digital copy.

Gohastings is hit and miss. Sometimes I get the wrong versions/bad condition.

Just got my last blu ray from the sale, Avatar 3 disc for $13.84. It was brand new...not bad for $14.

They finally replied to my complaint about Toy Story 3. Since they're just a call center, all they could offer was a pre-paid mailer label to return it for a refund. Oh, well. Better than being told to lump it.

Got my 4 blus on Fri. Robocop, 2010: TYMC, Clone Wars, Ice Age 3. Discs all mint. 2/4 cases were mint. 2010 and Robo could use new cases but no big deal. So far in the past few months I've ordered 12 discs from hastings and I've been pleased with all of them.

*as an aside...daaaaamn..Robocop needs a remaster!

Well, I got my first mistakes today. 1st, I was sent a same title, wrong movie. 2nd, I was sent previously viewed bluray in a rental case and the dumbasses left the lock on it. Anyway to get the lock out?
I just broke the case open since I'm going to replace it with a blu-ray case later anyway. The movie was W. Maybe George W. demanded them all locked since it was the movie he wanted no one to see.

Anyone else notice half price shipping over the last few days? (I would have posted it sooner but I got into a serious car accident last night.) I got three items, one blu, one dvd and one book on cd, shipped for $3.80.

I don't know about a broken case, but I complained last year about a copy of King of California I recieved looking like it had gone through a shredder (the disc itself worked fine), and they refunded my money and let me keep the movie.

Damn, I missed that and looks like it's done today. There is a 2 day 20% off sale on right now, but it doesn't seem to be working yet (code NYRSALE).

Edit: Never-mind, I guess the 20% off is working, but you have to spend $50, it doesn't even work out to free shipping if you are buying a lot of titles like I tried.

Yeah, I'm more okay than not. Took a 60 MPH slip on black ice, slammed against the concrete guard rail of a bridge and smashed in the front-side of my car. It's totaled.

The next night I made that order at Gohastings for $1.26 shipping per item. That was my upside (so far). When life hands you lemons, right?
