Yes. The two-disc version has different cover art from this one. Also scroll down the item page and you'll see it listed as one disc. The two-disc SE is currently $16.99 on amazon.

EDIT: Beat me to it. See post above mine.

If you cut it too close, you can always buy it from Wal-Mart or BB, return it to B&N, then use the Amazon one to return to WM or BB. But that's alot of trouble unless it is a huge savings.

Blow Out and Paths of Glory Criterions are $18.99 and $17.99 respectively, which returns them to their sale prices of a few weeks ago. If you are interested and missed out, here's another chance.

I assume that each movie in the trilogy contains a Disney Movie Rewards code that can be entered?

Though not specifically stated in any reviews, it appears that none of the extras from the prior SE DVD sets have been dropped (most just ported in 480p) on these BDs.

I believe it's one ticket. If you got each individual film solo you'd get as many tickets.

I have the separate releases of these BDs and all the extras are there. (Okay, the DVD-ROM stuff from Black Pearl is apparently not there, but hopefully that's not a deal breaker).

It appears that they've actually added more extras to the BDs than the DVDs had, like material from the Best Buy exclusive bonuses that were offered (although I never had those exclusive discs myself).

EDIT: Just hit me what a good price this is. $11 per film plus you get the deleted scenes disc that's unique to the box. If I didn't have them, I'd go for it!

Re: Amazon Discounts and Deals Thread #7 (is it #7? I'll pretend it is)

BD Deal of the Week: Alien Anthology $52.99

Also, Back to the Future Trilogy $24.99 (I believe this might match the Lightning Deal price they had for this on Black Friday last year)

Galapagos (BBC nature doc) $9.99

For $10, tempted to upgrade my DVD of Galapagos.

EDIT: In addition to the regular set, amazon also has the Back to the Future set with a Hot Wheels car replica, currently at no additional charge over the standalone package. Also, Alien Anthology is available somewhat cheaper from the UK than the current amazon deal.

BTTF w/Hot Wheels DeLorean $24.99
BTTF w/o Hot Wheels DeLorean $24.99

Not everyone got in on the Amazon deal when it was out there. While this was the same price last year at B&N, we had to pay Sales Tax and didn't get the collectible car...

Re: Amazon Discounts and Deals Thread #7 (is it #7? I'll pretend it is)

Had $5.20 in credit in my amazon account, so I went ahead and ordered Galapagos. Four dollars and change plus tax out of pocket for a BBC nature disc is a no-brainer. (Actually, even $10 is a great deal). And I don't give or trade my DVD copies away; I keep them in my office at work since they are perfect when I need something to show the biology classes I teach.

Also ordered Road to Perdition for $11.99. Been watching for that title to drop more within my threshold for upgrading it. I'm usually on top of most of these price drops, but I somehow missed that one and it's backordered. But I can wait since amazon usually delivers backorders sooner than they say they will.

You paid $10, not $4.80.

And yes, still a good deal.

Caved in and bought one. They got rid of the old, difficult to open packaging and replaced it with an easier packaging.

Well, no...the credit was left from a gift card I received as a present.

Someone else paid $5.20, and I paid $4.80.

I still have the one from Christmas. Is the new set have the EXACT contents?

And what exactly is the new packaging. Does it still have overlapping discs, etc.

I'm thinking of ordering the set for the new pkg and Delorean

I looked it up on youtube. Same discs, just easier to use packaging.

The Hot Wheels Delorean is sold separately on Amazon by a third party for $2.19. Goes for about $0.99 on ebay listings.

^^^
Thank you for your posts bigjim25 and Turnaround. I'll think I'll just stick with my set. It's just too much trouble for the car and new pkg -- as long as I see how to get it out. I d/l the video so I won't have any problems whenever I decide to watch my set.

I bought one at Target a few weeks ago for 99 cents. This isn't a Treasure Hunt (ie: rare), it is one of the normal cars released from this year. Obviously a great deal for anyone who doesn't have BTTF yet, but if you do, it isn't that difficult to find this car in-store... But if it is $2.19 with free shipping, you may want to save the gas money and just order it...

Re: Amazon Discounts and Deals Thread #7 (is it #7? I'll pretend it is)

I missed the BF deal so I am sold for $25 for BTTF blu with Unleashed for $28. There was an $8 discount for buying the 2. Of course there are other selections.
