It's nominated for a Best Picture Oscar.

Yeah, I had done it, too... Oh well, it's only 50 cents. It's not like it could possibly drop much more. They aren't going go give it away...

I bought the blu from someone on this forum ,watched it and turned around and
sold it. It's a good movie but IMHO not a lot of re-watchability attached to this.

How it was nominated for Best Picture I will never know, it is good and I am a huge fan of noir/neo noir but this was not something I would want to watch again.

Also of note , we (my wife and I) had to turn on the subtitles half through to understand what they were saying especially the actor who played Teardrop
it was pure mumbling at times.

......eh I don't about that price. Costs way too much for what's offered on the disc besides the film.

I'm tempted on that. Lots of good prices on Lizard's last post, but I need to pace myself... I went with The Edge of Love for now. $7.49 was too low to resist...

Huge thanks as usual, Lizard...

Looks like a big no on Winter's Bone. I'll get around to renting it one day I guess.

Wait. It will come down in price. But I'm a cheap bastard. I don't care how good a film is I won't pay $19 for a Blu-ray of any single movie. Even the Criterions, great as some of them are, can be had for less than that during the B&N sales.

I bought Winter's Bone during last months B&N B2G1 sale. It was on sale for around $18 and with coupons, member discount, and the B2G1 I paid much, much less. I haven't watched it yet but I am looking forward to it.

Surprisingly negative comments for "Winter's Bone." I really enjoyed it. It was a dark who-dunnit mystery movie with incredible performances and a sort of "Deliverance" feel to it. I think "Deliverance" fans would be more likely to enjoy this film. It's not a Michael Bay action flick so action junkies may wanna skip it.

Doesn't matter to me, but they're discount is a little misleading since the 1-disc only retails for $29.99 at BB. Still, 50% discount isn't horrible. I enjoyed the movie (pop song in the middle aside).
For anyone interested, my BD just showed up and it is indeed the BD/DVD/DC version. Sweet.

I'll say that I bought Winter's Bone but will be selling it. I thought it was a good movie, but it doesn't have much replay value to me.

Ok, that got me to buy it. I didn't want to pay 14.99 for just a 1 disc blu since it's a blind buy, but if it has all 3 (I hope it does) then I won't feel so bad if i dislike it lol.

Hrmmm, I should have tried that. But I went ahead and got Assault and My Name is Bruce. I wish they would have kept the cover art for Assault from the dvd though. Oy vie.

Thanks lizard! The Fighter should come down below $20, IMHO.

Just got the $13.99 Inception BLUray DVD that says 2-disc on the Amazon page, but it turned out to be the three disc one after all!
