Well, movie studios would be more than happy for you to buy ALL versions they put out. They are not concerned with giving the consumer everything in one package. And if by chance it does happen, I'd say it was an accident on their part.

Slightly off topic, is there a definitive boxset for the Evangelion series? I know there is only the 1.11 and 2.22 in blu.

Those are the only two films in the proposed tetralogy to have been released. The 3rd and 4th films are expected to be released in theaters in Japan in 2012.

In my struggle to decide which version of The Lion King to keep and which to cancel from Amazon, I realized something... I ordered TLK 2D with Dumbo for an order total of $30.98. They charged me $10.24 for Dumbo, so the remainder for TLK 2D would be $20.74 assuming the price remains at $24.99.

My TLK 3D order total is $21.99. Unless TLK 2D drops in price more, I'd only pay $1.25 more for the 3D version. The problem is I have to act now because they could move both orders to "shipping soon" Friday morning, and of course I don't want to have to send 1 of the 2 back. If only I knew if Amazon will further lower the prices (to match BB's $19.99 price for TLK 2D). I guess lowering the price on the 3D version is less likely as nobody has that cheaper than $29.99. If I do get the 3D version, I'd rather have Target's with the soundtrack, but that would be $4 more + tax than Amazon with the $5 off coupon.

What to do... what to do? I wish I could put both preorders on hold until I see what the prices are on Tuesday, but having had this dilemma before in the past and having called up Amazon to ask if there was any way to hold the orders, I was told the answer is no. Last time the rep said my only solution was to cancel the orders and then offered to make a note to allow me to re-add 1 of the orders at the original prices if I called back later. I never took them up on that one since Target ended up having a better deal that time. I don't know if they'd offer that again.

You would pay what you already paid for Dumbo, they wouldn't charge you any more. I've cancelled parts of orders where I got combined item discounts before, and they've never taken away my partial credit for the item already shipped.

There ia a problem if you don't have amazon prime and used it to qualify for free shipping. They can back charge shipping for previously shipped items

Not true... All these Disney coupon deals I have ordered on their own and got free ship over $25... I have never been charged shipping and they all went way below the mark.

They count the discount in as part of the total price. For example if you had a 8 dollar coupon it was included towards the 25 dollars requirement. iF by cancelling the lion king the total with coupons went below 25 dollars it would cause it. It probably wouldnt in this case as dumbo was 21.99 plus coupons.

I couldn't find a non-archived thread about Amazon Gold Box Discounts, so I'm posting it here... I thought Gold Box Discounts on pre-orders were supposed to stay at whatever the discount was when you bought it. I just checked my open orders and my Gold Box discount on an item dropped from $1.55 to $1.40 when the price of the item dropped $3. Is that supposed to happen?
