There are some pretty good deals this week, but I've also been thinking that I might just save my money as best as I can until Black Friday unless I find something I just can't refuse.

Yeah, just found this list on amazon's site. There's quite a few CC's I'd consider buying right now, but none of these are on that list. I've got the Darjeeling BD already, and I have Videodrome on DVD but don't know if I want to upgrade that. Charade is somewhat interesting; deals start in six minutes, so let's check out the prices...

The BN sales are cheaper? Looks like the exact price as the BN sale, 50% off. We just have extremely slim pickings for todays pseudo-sale.

I was hoping they'd throw one of the new releases in there. Even if not, there's probably nine or ten older releases I'd consider if they were offered.
Oh well...I'm sure there are people in the market for the four titles they picked.
It would be cool if they'd do another sale like the one they had a few months ago, where a few dozen titles were on sale. Because, you know, I didn't buy enough at the B&N sale and need more.

Edit: It wasn't in the treasure box link, but when I went to the product page, there was a link to the right for lightning deals, which didn't work. Further down the page was a link for Criterion deals which I clicked on and found the deal. It only gave me 14 minutes to checkout, so I guess the deal is over at 11AM CST.
Be careful ordering, the illustration of the DVD and blu-ray are very similar.

FWIW, the previous low for Charade (Criterion) at Amazon is $23.99, so the lightning deal is quite a bit less than that.
Still, $20 is too much for me even though I enjoyed the movie when I first saw it on a plane in the mid '60s. (How many in-flight movies does one still remember after so many years?)

Nice to see Lost Souls come down a couple of more dollars. I dunno, maybe I won't wait until the next B&N sale and go ahead and put the money for the pre-order. Considering the date, I could always cancel if something weird happened between now and October.
