Kroger stores now have $9.99 BDs

I was surprised a couple days ago to find a display at my local Kroger supermarket ("City Market" here in western Colorado and eastern Utah) that had a dozen or so $9.99 Blu-ray Disc titles. It was one of those pre-fab cardboard displays like Walmart often uses and had DVDs on three sides and BDs on the other.

The titles were mostly the usual things we have been seeing at stores in the $8 to $10 price range—Dogma, for example—but they also had La Femme Nikita. That title is currently $21.99 at Amazon and hasn't been at $9.99 there since the summer.

So, those with Kroger stores nearby might want to keep an eye out for a low-priced BD display.

Thanks Lizard. Has anyone in the northwest seen this display at Fred Meyer?

Around here, our Krogers have a 10% off day for senior citizens on the first Wednesday of each month. So for our older DVD Talkers, you might save a buck. Everyone else can have their parents/grandparents make a purchase for you. :)
